I don't think FBE knows what "close call" means. The last "close call" would could qualify, but the others were done purposefully and were not a narrow escape from danger or disaster.

Somehow in my circles in college these kinds of things just don’t happen. Think that’s a good thing. My biggest fail probably has something to do with how badly I’ve handled my crush or my inability to get into one of the many a cappella groups on campus, or maybe the fact that I haven’t gotten an A in a single class I’ve taken for my major.

My biggest fail in college was when I missed a test for one of my classes. The day before my test I wasn’t feeling the greatest, I had a cold and pretty much felt like crap so before I went to bed (I decided to go to bed early because this class was a morning class like 8AM) I took some benelyne cough syrup and I think it was benelyne cold pills to help me sleep and keep me from coughing all night, the medicine helped so much I slept right through my alarm and missed the entire class 😐 thankfully I was able to reschedule a makeup test

Biggest fail that I could think of in college: I was running to go to the gym to stretch and work out. However, I didn't take into account that there was some ice on the sidewalk. I did a near full split and after doing one of those cartoons slow-motion falls I fell down hard. I practically crawled to the front door of my dorm (The gym was below that) and security helped me down to the trainer. That was the day that I learned that the cure can be more painful than the injury and what electric stim was. Thankfully I had some down time coming up anyhow. Ouch.

These aren't really close calls at all! It's either fail or not fail, not close calls. A close call is like the guy who back-flips and almost hits the back of his head at the edge of the pool, not attempting something and succeeding it like drinking beer. Come on.
