Moving out of the house to study is exciting to think of: having just ourselves with everything is kind of freedom. But as time goes by, I realize how everything changes too, I miss my mom home cooked food ( nothing beats home)

Speaking of dorm life, tbh, I wish we have money for me to be able to move in to a dorm near my uni in Manila, how convenient it would be to study without going all through the struggles of commuting daily. Our new term will start this October, with the incoming face-to-face classes, either me or my brother would have to stop for our parents be able to support the other. I'm in my third year now in engineering and I don't know if I'll be taking this year off or not. Being the eldest, I don't know if I should sacrifice for my brother to graduate in SHS this year, haaay huhu. I wish I have the life like yours, it must be so nice ;(((

Hello Aree! Thank you for sharing your story🥹 To be honest when I was in high school, my family was also having a hard time financially and I was living the very bare minimum. No beautiful apartment, no new shoes nor bag nor anything. What was just important back then is I get to finish highschool (since I moved to a 1-hr drive from my simple town to a busy city to study in a science school which I was luckily admitted) I am just lucky that I have a bit more comfortable life now since I got a scholarship, and also thanks to my parents who are really working hard for us. I just wanted to say I really feel you, and I hope you won't let this adversities put you down. There is really season for everything, sometimes we're at the bottom, but that doesn't mean we'll stay there forever. We can't wait till everything's easy till we choose to live life and get going. Just keep going uncomfortably, and you will not even notice that you already walked far and it's no longer hard at all. No matter what happens, I'm gonna pray for you and your family. I hope you'll get to finish your studies and we'll soon be able to meet each other as engineers❤️ Stay safe always, sending you virtual hugs!
