Kind of a random comment but ive always thought that danielle's parents are a great example for divorced couples. They seem to get along great and make an effort to coparent their children. It just makes me happy. (If they are not actually divorced and im just confused this will be embarassing lol).

it's also about the experiences, experiencing being a freshman in college in dorms meeting people from all over living by yourself together ! its sooo different to living in your own apartment. I've done both and couldn't imagine not living my first year in dorms

At every state college you are required to live in the dorms for the first year (sometimes the second too) if you live outside of a certain radius of the school. She's living in both because she's paying for both. The dorm is just as if not more expensive than the apartment. This should be common knowledge lmao you get your friends living in the dorms and the experience is one that you can't get in an apartment if you choose to never live in the dorms.

Maybe! I'm at UNC Wilmington, my dorm looked different but all of the off-campus apartments I've had have had these exact cabinets (down to the knobs) and the same furniture...the only thing different has been the finishes on the appliances. 😂

I totally agree. A lot of people are saying that it’s mandatory in some collages to stay in the dorms, and that she needs a place to film. But why would you get and apartment that big for just recording? That is a lot of money. Getting an apartment like that when u don’t really need it and just for fun proves it.

She says here that her apartment is more of her 'office' but I feel like that's just what she's saying to stop getting so much hate from people. If you look at her Instagram posts and stories you will see that she spends a majority of her time in her apartment...essentially she either got the dorm because she was required or so she could act like she's a normal college student and still get that college experience. In addition I never really got the whole 'the dorm rooms are so small' Tasha Farsaci, Gretchen Geraghty, and a ton of other youtubers film in their dorm and they've been fine so like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Not trying to be a brat just trying to be realistic

MaCall George that's pretty standard for a lot of the colleges here in Georgia. The only freshman that are allowed to live off campus at UGA are kids from Athens due to one of the dorms being under construction.

Privacy for filming purposes is a good thing and like when her family comes out to visit they will have a place to stay, and Joey ofc :) I'm excited for you girl!!!

Okay but paying for room and board for a year PLUS rent for an apartment every month is so ridiculously unnecessary. If it were about privacy then why wouldn't she just stay in the apartment... It's a waste of money

no hate whatsoever apt is beautiful but a lot of the “colleges require you to live on campus first year” is more of a money scam and concrete showing of care for the acclimation of new students for the colleges like you need to pay room and board but the college is not monitoring anyone’s living sitch that closely

Not at all. 20 years ago I did the same thing and it happens more than you know. My parents got an apartment near campus and I stayed at least 3 times a week to study in peace, laundry in my apartment and placed dorm room storage at the end of each year. It happens way more than many know.

TIP: if the duvet cover has ties, turn it completely inside out, tie all of the corners of the duvet to the insert, then reach 'inside' the button end of the duvet and turn it right side out again. When you do that it fills the insert with the duvet all on its own. I work at PBTeen and thats our like secret tip for ppl haha

I’m now a sophomore in college so I understand that it’s mandatory for freshman to live on campus at many schools but why pay for an apartment you’re not even staying at? That’s really a waste of money tbh.

we also have an arch in the university of santo tomas, philippines that has the same myth! we have this tradition that freshmen must go inside the arch on their freshmen walk (a parade inside the campus) and can only go out of the arch on their send-off parade! it's so much fun! you can search clips of it on youtube by searching "university of santo tomas freshman walk/baccalaureate"! :)

I received a tool box like that for graduation (a cute pink one) and honestly it didn't become helpful until I moved into an apartment, since you won't be hanging things by nails on your dorm walls. But since you have an apartment as well, I think it'll come in handy!! All I really use is the screwdrivers :) Good luck this year girl!! College is awesome

Just in case you don't want that bar by your bed there anymore they usually can be removed! I remember last year when I moved in my dorm there was a bar like that on my bed and my roommate and I were able to take it apart and remove the bar. It looks cute the way you put that blanket over it but if you ever don't want it anymore you can probably ask your RA how to take it down.
