I like that Raphael reprised his role as a Black Panther. It’s always cool to see a College Humor cast member on this show

I liked this episode because it didn't go down the easy route of having Adam just giving his position on gun control and saying why the other side is wrong. This segment in particular I really enjoyed, because without taking any sides, it highlights the fact that regardless of whether or not you support gun control, you need to take into account how black people are affected by the issue.

The Castille case really is completely fucked up. A recording of the officer was released after the cop was found not guilty where he was borderline bragging that he didnt even see a gun.

They didn’t do that right at 5:00 It typically goes like this: Cop: “do you have your license and registration” Black: “yes sir, I do” Cop: “please get it for me” Black: *reaches for license and registration* Cop: *BANG* “I thought he was reaching for a gun”

That “BANG” made me cry. It was so unfair. He shouldn’t have died.

Throughout the whole bit, the blonde girl has been the epitome of "This topic makes me uncomfortable, I just want things to be okay again. Can we just go back and live in ignorant bliss?"

I want to skip to the end of this episode and see him talk about "what do we do now" because this looks like a no-win situation.

This doesn’t ruin guns, it ruins gun control laws.

That Philando Castile re-enactment at the end was very well done, that is word for word exactly how it happened. I am white, and I have a license to carry, and I have been stopped dozens of times by police and each and every time I have informed them I had a gun and in fact sometimes I even got in arguments and debates with the police when they pulled me over, yet I was never under threat of fire. Philando Castile did exactly what he was supposed to, to the T, even better than me to be honest, yet he was still killed. I think the word racist triggers people and turns their mind off from critical thinking, so I hate using it. But if you don't think that as a collective society we have to re-evaluate our own ingrained sterotypes then you just aren't thinking. It is clear as day that their is a problem with how minorities are viewed and treated in this country. That isn't to say every cop is a hood wearing racist, but it is to say that being Black or Hispanic in America means people will have a label for you before they even speak to you and we all have to acknowledge that, it's human nature. I am an old man turning 59 next year, teenagers scare the piss out of me. If I see a group of kids walking toward me I get on edge sometimes because of the stories I hear about gangs and robberies. So i tend to avoid them or be on guard around groups of teens. That doesn't mean I hate teenagers and I'm ageist. I am sure 99% of those kids that scare me are wonderful nice people, but all human's label other people it is instinct and how the brain works to identify danger even if there is none. The problem comes when people aren't trained to control that fear, and that is the problem with police these days, they are all too scared and no one has trained them on how to control their fear

And it just keeps happening. Kenneth Walker thought his house was being broken into by civilians. He used his right to stand his ground. He was actually shooting at police who were serving a no-knock warrant. Poorly trained officers shot blindly into the dark apartment unit and killed an unarmed black woman named Breonna Taylor. Long story short I have to protect myself and someone else from being attack by three people. Cop took 15mins to respond when they got there one cop told me not to have a loaded gun around him and I look at the other cops asked him if he's serious? Yep cops do have a issue with law-abiding black citizens.

So at 4:42 Anyone in the carry/gun community will tell you, there's no such thing as firing warning shots. You do not fire warning shots because doing so, shows to courts that you really weren't in that much danger. Because you had time to fire a warning shot. You either shoot the threat or you don't pull out a gun at all. There's no middle ground. Her case wasn't a oh stand your ground doesn't work for black people. It was a case of someone not knowing or understanding firearms and firearms laws.

This was just re-recommended to me. I watched it before, but I forgot it exist.

Watching this point in the episode for the first time made me want to cry. I've been very fortunate in my life that I haven't really experienced any harsh racism myself, but it's always heartbreaking to hear and see that there are other people going through it everyday. I'm just glad that there's a show like this doing all they can to bring more attention to these issues.

Another problem with firearms discussions is that those well versed in them are frequently left out of the conversation. That is how a handgun becomes an ar 15 that fires full auto shotgun slugs from a belt fed magazine.

NRA supported the Mulford Act in 1967, which affected black gun owners largely in CA, exclusively the BPP. One reason I won't support the NRA as well as they have left their overall constituency to fend for themselves while anti-gun opportunistic politicians work overtime to strip away 2A rights from the law-abiding by exploiting tragedies where some lone person with ill intent decides to take lives at will. This usually happens in largely gun-free spaces.
