Don’t complain about umpires when their calls are right. I understand there are bad calls, but the too far call was not one of them. Izak Rankine ran 24.2 metres without a bounce, well over 15 metres. That is a free kick any place at any time.

@@AUSSIE_LADZhate to break it to you, but it's literally about not running 15m and has no reference to number of steps. AFL has the laws of the game on their website, check 18.13c

If you went and measured every player that has done that without getting called they are all over , the fact this doesn’t get called but in the final minutes is just over use of umpiring to ruin a good game

Another classic between these two sides. This is starting to become a rivalry if it isn't already one. Collingwood still know how to win the close ones. Crows fans are very likely sick of losing the nail-biters to the Pies. F*** you, Spanos.

I just counted his steps and it was 14 steps but, the rule is 15 - 18 metres so he running full speed 14 steps would be about 20 metres. Even tho im a crows fan and hate to admit it he ran too far.

@@Jimbolbian i see players run that far all the time without it ever actually being called, meaning it actually isnt a free every other day of the week. Last 30 seconds of a tight game is not the correct place to start selectively enforcing rules

@@josiahsivewright3043 do you have proof? 24 meters is almost double the allowed length. Because rankine is so quick, he was able to cover more ground in less time. Most others may go over 15m by 1-4m at most

He ran 24.2 metres without a bounce, that is too far as it is only every 15 metres for a bounce and that is always a free kick to the opposition

@@shaunanstis4864 My bad - I saw the analysis of the distance a little later (watching from the US I don't always get those straight away). It just didnt seem like it was that long, but clearly was. Good catch by the ump.
