He does the best against the other horsemen but does the worst against everyone else. He's the most likely to get upset of all the other horsemen. Acola loses almost exclusively to the other horsemen, basically nobody other than Spargo, Sonix, and Miya can beat him. He's definitely still number 1. Yeah he's character carried, but result-wise he's still number 1.

As a Corrin player myself (alongside Joker) I definitely want to see more of Shadic. Spargo is definitely an impressive player, I will not deny that, but seeing my main, a character that seems to be hated by many in the Smash community despite their release being almost 8 years ago (just move on already!), doing this well is great for me to see. In all honestly, if a person comes 2nd place to Spargo, they’re still doing well

I know he’s a solo Diddy player now but that match up looks really rough for Diddy. Diddy is a way better character than seph but for that match at least he might have to bring the seph back out.

Watch the last game between shadic and kola. Kola lost because he wiffed a counter. It’s too risky to use against high level play.

Lucina main don't because of morality, roys and chroms don't because they love swinging too much, ike mains don't exist in 2024, Marth mains don't because they love set-ups too much. Corrin's is too utility to be as useful as the others.

check the winner semi-finals match between shadic and Spargo, Shadic wins the second match using corrin's counter. But as most of the comments have kinda pointed out it's a gamble and very committal for high level play.

Tweek lost to 2 different Steve players, a character that Diddy Kong has an ABYSMAL matchup into and his secondaries, while still good, aren't nearly as polished as his Diddy. SHADIC is really talented and as been on a killer run recently and he felled Light and Leo. Kola had an insane run this tournament and also beat Leo and Light. Zomba and Light fought, as only 4 players can make it to winners side top 8 meaning if all goes as seeded, two of the top 5 seeds will fight each other at some point, and zomba lost that. Zomba also lost to Lima, a really strong bayo player. None of them lost to "randoms", they just either got unlucky with matchups like Tweek, got outplayed by SHADIC and Kola or fought each other.

Shadic didn't play Leo this tournament. Leo lost to mute@@elmacho1336

They mostly refer to Frame trapping an air dodge which is essentially the same thought process behind frame trapping in any other fighting game.

@@newjumpcityjosh9333 to me it looks like just baiting an air dodge and punishing it, not a frame trap. A frame trap is when you do a move on someone's block and leave a gap just small enough where if they do anything that isn't invincible within that gap, they will get hit (usually a counter hit) by your next button. Definitely not the same thing as actual fighting games 🤣

It's literally the same thing but since you don't play smash then you wouldn't know where to look so laughing was kind of silly, you could've just asked. A easy example for you to understand would be Fox uptilt frame traps, especially around mid percent. Fox uptilt will eliminate most of his opponents defensive options, usually resulting in another free uptilt or uptilt into bair, nair, or up air. Aerials are frame trapping moves as well where the bulk of your confusion is coming from. Your opponent has 2 options in the air 3 if you have a b reverse: attack, air dodge or b reverse. If an aerial is fast, large with very little recovery frames like Corrin, Game and Watch or fox's up air then they can usually frame trap you into another hit.

@@dripfoe_3307 It is not the same thing and I have played smash before for a long time. Smash "frame traps" are just baits, best comparison is probably a safe jump. You aren't punishing them for pushing a button, you're punishing the recovery of a move, like how a safe jump baits and punished DP (that's a reversal move) or a super.

In that regard smash "frame traps" are similar, but it even then quite, pressure continues if the opponent chooses to block instead or gets out with their reversal
