I hope that you don't just stay on the outskirts of the city center, but also visit the main shopping streets Hohe Straße/Schildergasse as well as the old town with its squares and winding alleys. Greetings from a Cologne native ;-) Have a nice time here and Germany in general.

In the two Karstadt stores in Köln there are authentic German "GALERIA Restaurant's" - Hohe Straße 41, 50667 Köln. and Breite Straße 103, 50667 Köln. Great value if you want a filling meal with a bier. They are well built places so no chance of getting wet.
