I think I could manage more as a cyberman than a Dalek (if I lost a fair amount of weight of course) because they used to have a shell of a Dalek in the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff... I could not fit in that comfortably.

This is a really cool insight into an incredibly cool process. I knew a fair bit about the other side of cyberacting, that being Nick Briggs' voice work, but I knew very little about how this all works. I guess these guys were the face to his voice a fair few times!

2:32, isn't this the lady who we've seen teaching David Tennant and Jessica Hynes their waltz for Human Nature in a Doctor Who Confidential? I gather she is the general 'choreography' lady, then?.. Anyway, very interesting seeing how all of this is put together. Takes away some of the magic, I guess, but I am always fascinated by everything that goes on behind the scenes of tv shows.. :)

You seemed pretty short on detail in what was going on, are you being understandably secretive or do you really, as it appears, not really know what the hell's going on until perhaps as late as seeing the finished production on the TV? I love the idea of all these Cybermen like "where are we?" "I dunno, is this our control room?" "Maybe, it is very shiny" &ct 😂

This is really what happens. Be lucky to know what's going on if you only doing one day. The A.D's tell you on the day. These guys would have had a bootcamp on how to walk as a cyberman and fitting.

COWBOSS839 GAMING you can sufficiently buy Cyberman parts/armour/moulds/costumes on eBay. Most of the time they don't go cheap. I've just recently finished my 1980s Cyber Controller and it cost me around £500. Not bad considering further classics and new series are a lot more in price, although 1980s requires the least fibreglass. I also plan next month to buy the Cyber Gun from Mooncrest Models who build them fantastically for £185 in Silver and Red.
