You're opening a can of worms here and you don't even know it. The traditional color analysis systems we have are actually lacking flexibility. They don't take into account olive undertones or things like "dark summer" (think jewel tones but not warm, like blue based and dark). Ultimately each color analysis place is at the mercy of the flaws of the system they use. The better ones will recognize these flaws and make new color palettes for the shortcomings. The second wait for a color analysis place to be good if they take into account your output. People want complementary colors but what does complementary mean? does it mean they look soft or bold? A more Eastern look will focus on softness where a western look will focus on contrast. A better consultation includes taking your final look into account. you even have some people that want to look a little bit off or dead, like subcultures. So the pallet you get will be determined on what the analyst has to work with and what you have in mind.

Right? This is true for every video of this type. I wonder if it's the camera or it is not exactly possible to be objective about it. After all - is my red same as yours?
@viktoriaschmied66277 ай бұрын
It has to be the camera. I couldn't explain it otherwise. Generally anything turquoise spectrum wise tends to show up very different on camera. As well as anything containing brighter, neon tones.

I always defended these because I thought it was about trying out many colors and finding out the best one, just fun nothing serious but this "therapist" judging you without any advice is so cringe. I hope you don't get pressured into giving up colors you like because you look great regardless.

No. She is not explaining it so I am not buying it. It seems that she is going by her feelings where in Korea or Japan, they show you that warm or cold tones suit you and even match you with colder or warmer tones of same colour to compare. This girl is just saying “I hate this one” as a supposedly professional opinion? 🙄💀
@TuningAnApple7 ай бұрын
Yeah, all the ones I've seen in Asia they explain it. Like, "this color reflects off your face makes it look like you have a mustache".

measuring your face proportions is insane. I also really hate the idea that we have an "Ideal" color pallet, hair color etc rather than it being a reflection of our personality as well. This videos message is literally "you arent ugly you are just dressing wrong!"

Not just that, but it also raises insecurities and implies that, on the basis of one woman's opinion, you should change your entire style. Fashion should be about being comfortable, confident and having fun. It should not be trying to match some arbitrary beauty guidelines.
