I really like you guys, but sometimes the repeated “that's not what I’m saying” and “I’m not blaming!” gets a little tiring. The podcast is fun to listen to when there are multiple perspectives, no need to be scared to just say what you think!

Eric, you can't keep saying "im not blaming Georgie but their goaltending was better" without catching flak. Because at this point its a stupid line to say. Yeah their goaltending WAS better. Thats how it should be. The fact Georgie performed better than expected, and tbe fact that he has been consistently the most involved player should be even more damning on the rest of our players. Continuing to complain about goaltending on our team is really saying that the Avs should completely change their structure. Otter is a better goaltender, and the Avs should have beaten him regardless.

Avs took the 1st period off in the 1st game, 2nd period off in the 2nd game, 3rd period off in the 3rd game. If they're lucky they can take off OT in game 4 and give the Stars a chance to win the series in game 5 at home.

not on Georgie at all. he kept it close defensive breakdowns lead to their goals. as a result of them pushing to tie it. gotta get more from the big guys and finish their chances. win or lose as a team. Gotta dig deep and work, gotta dump, chase and cycle. they looked like they didn't want to play playoff hockey, can't use their speed? they get frustrated and stop playing. look at mack on that pp at the start of the 2nd he just fucks off for no reason, unlike him when he playes 1:20 on it. i'm annoyed with the top lines lack of drive. either way they gotta find it. monday is must win

like Eric's take. regarding the goaltending said another way. Georgie played well for Georgie and what the avs do. Correct me if i'm wrong but our expectation for Georgie is to only let in a couple goals, right?? when that happens, our offense can generally roll up 5 on any team on any night. Georgie played fine and as Georgie. However Otter is playing at a higher level, no? and i agree with Eric that we have an allstar level power play lineup. need to put a puck in the back of the net on the PP.

I want to know why Benn is still able to get on the ice after the Toews hit, why Tanev isn't more worried where the next hit to any part of his body is coming, and why no one is taking shots at Oettingers body, and I don't mean pucks. We have no one like Kadri who is an agitator. Benn should have 3 Avs throwing punches and elbows at him within seconds after that hit. Landeskog would have kocked Benn out.

I'm a dallas fan.. when Benn was open and got the breakaway I was thinking.. if benn gets a breakaway and scores now in the first period the game after.. that's brutal and is going to look so bad. Fans will be pissed off. I would definitely be yelling at my tv if i was on the other side for sure. Georgie stopped is tho and he actually had made a ton of really great saves. No goals have been soft in this series. Goodluck next game dude.

@@zachferreira there’s a reason he gets all the criticism that he does. He’s capable of so much more. Yeah he’s scores the goal, good for him. He also sets up Dallas for their second goal by a lazy play at the offensive blue line that spirals the teams play for the next 45 seconds. All I am saying is he can be much better than what he has been. He was dominant last year and took a step backwards this year

I was at the game and the third period was so boring. Avs had zero push back or intensity during that whole period. I don’t remember anybody getting a shot on goal or even throwing a hit the whole period.

Dallas is just the better team. After 3 games, it looks probable that Dallas takes this series unless an unlikely switch is flipped. Dall just seems to know how to beat Col in playoffs. Next year, Col can hopefully bolster their lineup with a bit more toughness, which is not needed in the regular season, but exactly what you need come playoffs. Land, Mans, and a few other tough and rough guys who can play with anger.

Either Mikko is dealing with an injury, or he just doesn't give a shit. I was at that game last night, and the eye test tells me that the effort and the heart isn't there. Or at least it doesn't look like it is. The moment it really hit me was when that Avs were on their first or second PP. The puck was rimmed around the boards towards Mikko to keep possession. Yes the puck was moving fast, but Mikko had PLENTY of time to get to the wall and stop the puck. But instead he puts literally NO effort into hustling to the wall, and the puck zips right by him and out of the zone. They didn't really get set up again after that. I am TIRED of seeing this version of Mikko. Nearly every player in the Avs lineup has ELEVATED their game, even if only marginally, EXCEPT him. That is unacceptable.

Eric is a huge Georgiev hater! He literally said a few days ago that if a goalie only let's in 2 goals in a game, the Avs should win. He's trying to not blame Georgiev by not naming him. "I'm not blaming him, but it he who should not be named *Georgiev* fault"..but still said it's his fault. Eric's credibility is going down the more he tries to blame it on goaltending. What a joke! Lol

It's a really bad look to talk about goaltending in a loss in which you only scored 1 goal... its actually rediculous. I'm a dallas fan and I think georgiev has been really damn good. Made a ton of highlight reel saves. Goaltending has been awesome for both sides.. this is the top ranked and 3rd ranked offenses shooting at them so let's all be fair right.

Let's keep in mind that the Avs always at any given game have a significant advantage over other teams due to the elevation edge...anything less than a conference championship appearance is essentially a failure

I think Mikkos habbits are starting to contaminate the team. It’s a mental switch for him that he needs to get a hold of. You can’t disappear and have such lackluster floating type stretches especially when it’s the playoffs. He’s just floating and existing cherry-picking dog skating around missing chances and doing dumb shit turning the puck over . Part of it is I think he’s been able to get away with it his whole career because people know his upside but I’m getting tired of it especially when it’s costing us. I’m starting to wonder how much we can get for him and replace him with someone cheaper and more consistent even 2 3rds of prime mikko but a lehky Guaranteed reliable night after night, game after game motor and shines in prime time not shrink and play like he doesn’t give a fck.

Both goalies have been fantastic and lest we forget colorados offense was number 1 in goals for and dallas was 3rd only 6 goals behind... This aint easy on either sides goalie. Dallas in 5 the avalanche are not the same 2022 team, no kadri no Landy who would have put benn in his place, the avalanche score in my opinion when teams allow break aways and when teams give to much space in thier zone alot of the avalanche shots were u16 AA blue line shots they count but that shows dallas players are on meth they do a great job of playing with integrity and intensity. They avalanche don't want to win more than dallas. I'm an avalanche fan.

Typical Denver fans.. Never giving credit to the opposition. Colorado has conceded the first goal in every single match so far. Dallas is taking their chances, playing better defense, plugging up the neutral zone, with better goaltending. Depth of Stars is showing through

Should they? They tried their best to choke away 2 games and managed to do 1. Last night the Avs beat themselves. I didn't see overwhelming pressure from the Stars for the entire game. Just a lot of missed passes from the Avs and sloppy team defense for a couple crucial plays.

@Alexander-lc7dx I just outlined why the Avs could very well be leading this series. The Stars have shown weakness in that once they get the lead, they seem comfortable to just sit back and defend. And it's not like the Stars have suffocated the Avs. Colorado hasn't played to its potential despite being given every opportunity. This series is a lot closer than the goal totals indicate. Avs played well through 2 periods of Gm3 and just couldn't connect on anything in the 3rd. That's not the Avs were used to seeing. Stars aren't shutting the Avs down, the Avs just aren't showing up.

Your pretty cocky considering all I've stated here.. Colorado was the toughest home ice advantage in the league all season and the number 1 scoring offense. Dallas just held them to 1 goal in that playoff game. They're clearly better then you think. Js
