"For all who wish to learn," are the words by which Emily Griffith lived her life. Influenced at a young age by her uncle, Griffith set off to offer a free education to all regardless of age, ethnicity or social stature. Offering classes from millinery to typing and establishing the first soup kitchen, Griffith's legacy lives on in the Technical College she founded. Meet the woman whose lasting legacy in education lives today, even as her murder remains a mystery.

I would urge the school to honor her wishes and return to the very appropriate name she selected: *"Opportunity"* Tragic end to her and her sister's very brave living of Life.

What a tragic end to such a gifted and wonderful woman I think we need to concentrate for all that she did for all those people for all those years m ay she rest in peace and her memory be blessed

Emily Griffith Technical College gets 3.5 Stars on Yelp which is pretty good!

Two days ago, I stood at Emily griffiths grave. Not on purpose...and not knowing. It Happened to be a meeting site for my mothers funeral. Came across her grave and was Shocked! Her along with sister on the grave stone. My brother and I went to the Emily Griffith schools. Because of technology today..my grandsons googled their death. Unbelievable! Their deaths was a shock! What history this was on the day we buried my mother.
