Courtney and Nicole Mallery, Black farmers who relocated to Yoder, Colorado in 2020, are now seeking justice after what started off as a dispute between neighbors escalated into something way more serious. After a series of disturbing events began taking place on their farm, including a ‘Black Lives Matter' sign being burned and several of their animals being mysteriously killed, the Mallery’s claim they turned to police for help. However, when they called upon police to report their racist neighbors for harassment, they claimed they were the ones who faced backlash. In fact, Nicole Mallery ended up being placed in handcuffs and arrested. Despite the fact that the Mallery’s are known as stewards in their community, they claim they are being targeted and unlawfully charged with criminal stalking by their white neighbors as retaliation. Could there be deep rooted racism occuring in Yoder, Colorado? Or is there more to the story? The Shade Room investigates…

Let's just be real about it those people don't want the couple near where they live but at the end of the day that couple has the right to live, farm wherever they choose and people not bother them...If it was another race living there would they be picked on?I think not! That couple shouldn't have to live in fear because they bought land close to someone who has a problem with the human race and at the end of the day you weren't put on this earth without different human races so that means this earth is for everyone rather different people want it to be or not!Some people need to stop being ignorant and let people live their lives in peace! They live a mile from their neighbors. And have an easement driveway both legally use. But N. Mallory wants to control it. She’s a real Karen. The Mallory’s put cámaras pointed across the road pointed at the neighbor who lives a mile away. They are on camera taunting the neighbor from their side. That’s what I’ve gathered. Mr. Mallory is pretty calm. His Wife not. All this from cámaras and body cámaras.

@@dianadowie3985 The cameras were confiscated under court order for criminal prosecution for theft of utilities and stalking. That wasn't a law enforcement thing. Charging money for that many documents in not abnormal. Try to get a printed transcript of a divorce trial...It cost thousands. Being a reporter has nothing to do with it. I live in the country. We often stop on dirt roads to pick up snakes baby raccoons, baby opossums..etc. Again, because it's out of your range of knowledge doesn't make it shady.
