In this video we review one of Colorado's best state park campgrounds, Cheyenne Mountain State Park. This quickly became one of our favorite state park campgrounds, with full hookups at every RV site. Yes!! We have stayed there 3 times once in the summer and twice in the fall, it has awesome views and great clean amenities. We have always felt safe and comfortable 😊

Great review. Our dog is named Tucker also, and he is our travel buddy. He is a 100 pound lab that has never met an enemy LOL. We appreciate the information you give on the area and if it is pet friendly. We live in California backed up to mountains, so we hike daily with Tucker and always love if there are trails the dogs can go on when we are camping.

Great video! Actually, Colorado changed the law in 2023; If you're a Colorado resident you can piggyback an annual parks pass for roughly $35 per year on your vehicle registration. It's a great deal! Gonna try to book a site tonight!

You definitely picked a great one. I don't know if we have a favorite, but this one makes our top 5 list. We also really like Rigeway State Park. Another great park is State Forest State Park. No hookups, but so many outdoor activities and the scenery is simply spectacular.

The one thing I have done is create a private Google Maps for myself and every time I watch a KZfaqr that reviews a nice campground, restaurant, attraction or location, I mark it on my private Google map, so all across the country, wherever we are, I already have a "cheat sheet" of the nice places to stay and things to do and see.

Great Review....we love state parks and COE parks. Usually much more beautiful than RV Resorts/Parks. We did not do as many this year as we did last year..but we are headed to TopsailState park in Fl soon.

Good morning, great video as usual. I remember you guys from Cheyenne Mountain park it took me awhile to find you, i’m the guy that was straight across from you in the class A with the Orange Jeep Wrangler. I had to do some stalking on you tube to find you, sorry. Anyways I am in the Air Force at Peterson in Colo. This is a very nice park. We stayed at an RV park in Colorado Springs that we didn't care for much. We would love to go to this one one day.

We love that State Park….. try Ridgeway State Park near Ouray, CO…. beautiful area! Cherry Creek SP or Chatfield SP near Denver are nice too!

@@oureverydaygetaway we like Loop B, FHU starting with sites 68 along the outside where you can see the lake! Loop A on the outside sites is nice too! It fills up fast…. try to get reservations as soon as possible!

How do you only have 5,400 subscribers. You are my favorite KZfaq channel. This looks like the best choice when in the Colorado Springs area. But I do have a question....... The $8.00 is for ........LMAO. Stay south as the weather is getting cold here in Pa. Looking forward to Chris's offer to cook breakfast. Will that be before or after cocktails???? Colorado State parks are great. Plenty of space, so you aren’t on top of your neighbors. Crawford state park was our favorite in Colorado.

Wow I can't believe you have to pay an additional $8 a day to come and go from the park when you are paying daily for camping. We are from Virginia and when we camp with our RV at VA state parks, they give us a tag for our car so that we don't have to pay for daily entrance fee during our stay, it's included. Great review, looks beautiful, I love your videos.

It's the daily fee for state parks in Colorado. You can also get a yearly pass for around $80.00. We're from Maryland so not sure if your a Colorado resident you can get into the state parks there for free. Such a beautiful state park! Thank you so very much for watching and leaving a comment! I wouldn't say top 5 for me. But I don't enjoy being so close to large cities. Mueller is my fav close to Colo springs. Lathrop is fav as well.
