Slightly hard to say it is a tough break given the clock mismanagement. There was 19 seconds left on the play clock before the kick at 3:18. Could have given CSU significantly less time.

It took me about 2 min to realize “MWN” in the onscreen scoreboard wasn’t a schools’ abbreviation. Pretty scummy to cite the network’s/conference’s(idk) acronym before the schools that are playing

UNLV really 6-1 and their only loss is to the #2 team in the country wtf is going on😂🤝🏾 In the next 4 weeks they got (former #25) Fresno State, Wyoming (who beat Fresno State causing them to lose rank), and #19 Air Force. If they win at least 2/3 of those this is the best UNLV team in a long ass time

Definitely some battles here down the stretch! We'll see what kind of cajones UNLV has, as 3 of their next 4 are against other 5+ win teams. As a UNLV fan, I'm so damn excited to have some meaningful football games at this point in the season. Can't ask for much more than to control your own fate for a spot in the conference championship game.

Issue I have is it’s pretty asymmetrical with the clocks being separated, the downs separating the scores, and the scores themselves being mirror images of each other

Some clarification: The MW Network is used on multiple platforms. For instance, this was Stadium using the MWN's broadcast package. My team, Utah State, uses the MWN on a local channel here in Utah, KJZZ 14, and we have normal views of PAT's/FG's. But yeah, I get what you're saying. UNLV is playing in an NFL Stadium. You'd think they'd be able to get a better camera angle.

A typical UNLV team would get bowl eligible in 10-11 games, Barry Odom did that in just 7 games! Clearly a huge upgrade over Marcus Arroyo.

The most wins UNLV has ever had in a season was 9, and that was in 1979 (9-1-2). Two more wins plus a bowl win will tie that mark.

UNLV's own admin turned themselves in because the new UNLV president went after UNLV's coach, who grew up near UNLV's basketball coach, Jerrry Tarkanian, in California and the the two coaches were lifelong friends. He did it only because he knew he couldn't go after Tarkanian at that point. The "ineligible" players were ineligible due to a technicality of transferring from Juco colleges....something that MANY universities, at the time, would've had to vacate wins if found out. From what I remember, NONE of the "ineligible" players even saw the field. They were simply dressed out, and on the sideline.

Congratulations to UNLV! They're going bowling, and only ULM has a longer active drought in the FBS. Allegiant Stadium, Al Michaels, and this Raiders partnership of sorts has been Very good to this football program. I hope it works out for their program and the conference with the possibility of a reverse merger in the near future.

Why did CSU play zone at the end there knowing UNLV needed a field goal? Touchdown is different story but that just seems like bad coaching by the DC. As long as they beat SDSU, Nevada, and Hawaii they are bowl eligible (or an upset over either of their two rivals in the next two games) but they could easily be 5-2 if they could finish games better (could also be 2-5).

Well, the 55 yard field goal was by the visiting team, so naturally we (unlv fans) weren't super hype about it at the time lol. But honestly the MWN broadcast doesn't do the crowd noise any justice. It was as loud as i've heard at a UNLV game in there. Unless you're talking about the announcers, which, I want to say the guys calling the game were part of UNLVs broadcast team, which would also explain the lack of excitement haha.

Wrong. It was kicked from the 18 yard line, add 10 for distance to goal post and you get 28 yards.
