I appreciate it, David! I recorded this one using the Streamyard platform but then downloaded it to break into segments. So much of the b roll is just part of the initial livestream which makes it easier to complete but does affect the production quality a bit. For the editing after recording, I use Final Cut Pro, but this is a bit overkill for this type of video. I started making videos with iMovie which is a really great place to start because the workflow is very similar to FCP so it’s an easy transition if you choose to upgrade. Plus it’s free on Macs. My wife uses Premier and loves it but I find it slow and unintuitive. Does that help a bit? Hope you are staying warm out there!

There’s a decent chance I make it out for a bit this summer, but it might be another year with the new baby on the way! How about you? Headed out some this summer??
