Impressed, you are one curious dude, keep with your instincts. If you got your super smart phone, landmark your finds. Now that your focused on what a diamond looks like, including the weird looking ones, to take a physical break, do a walking survey of the land, looking for surface diamonds, walking parallel to your foot prints. Diamonds are like gold, they register if we have trained our minds eye as to what to see!

The only way to find diamonds at the craters in arkansas is after a rain walking the surface or hoping you find what they seeds "throw out" when the parks closed!!!!!!!

The metal bucket is from a Bucket Elevator - likely chain or linked together back in that era, today the buckets are commonly bolted onto a rubber belt. Typically they go straight up, like a elevator, and move dirt/ore to the top of the gravity mill/processing unit - these were often used in hardrock mills as well.

I know someone that screened gravel and found a gold wedding ring there. Natural gold, I am going to say no however, it is remotely possible that a few pieces of gold could have been transported to the surface by the magmatic eruption.

Looks too light of construction for dredge bucket. I'd put my money on a Grain Elevator bucket.
@ColoradoGoldCamp
@ColoradoGoldCamp Жыл бұрын
Yes Roger, I thought the same thing. The original "miners" out there were farmers and likely used whatever they had available. The bucket failed because it was too weak of construction for this sort of application.
