Today i laid it all on the table. I chose to have faith in my rookie ability and i gave my hand the official first tattoo by me. Nerves told me that this could go either way. I gambled on myself having faith in my ability( so new it barley exist) tbh i surprised myself and realized we often cut ourselves shorter than we should. My expectations were on prepare for disappointment level. All said and done i am beyond satisfied and from here on out ill believe in myself responsibly lined with what i know as facts. Im not one to brag but just like when you're child first finds out they can ride without training wheels i now know that it is worth betting on yourself sometimes because you may just learn some things that lead to more passion for the craft and maybe a bit of eagerness to see what you do next time. Its sad that i waited until i was 43 to ballz up and do it. But from here on out i cant think of anything else i want to do with myself. Better late than never.

An the cross hatch I’m goin to try. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that jus like sanding body work to get a smooth even panel. Lol. Hey, Nathan! I for the life of me can't colour pack... my mentor is getting frustrated and I am also. I do too much skin damage for the amount of saturation I'm getting. Color is harder than black and gray. It might be worth sticking to black and gray for a while then when you get super comfortable with it transition to color. You will be much more comfortable with the machine by then and it will be easier. Also use practice skin (reel skin) it enables you to tattoo every day and you will pick it faster. Consistency is the key to success

@Tattooing101
@Tattooing101 2 жыл бұрын
hey mike. I stretch with my left hand then use the palm of my tattooing hand to pull across before I pant it on the skin. Once you have hte stretch you can slide along the skin and it will stay tight. It sounds weird but you get used to it. Also dont strech to hard, it doesn't take much. Also start tattooing on peoples legs first. skins tighter and your stretch doesn't have to be perfect to get a solid line.

Instead of the cream for blending into the skin color.. if you're tatting someone darker skin like a dark tan or even darker skin brown would you just use a color tint to match their skin color or would that be best to use the cross hatch fade and leave it kinda like the leaves in this tat for most of the tat? I mean it looks nice either way just wonder the technique on tatting someone with darker skin that wants a smooth blended out look like that, because flesh tone I think may look dramatic and unnatural if added to darker pigmentation but wasn't sure if it'd blend out into the skin all the same using like a tan or darker color matching their skin. Or would you tattoo the matching skin color 1st especially using a light color like lavender or light pinks Sorry if its a stupid question super beginner here and fasinated by this.
