For all purchases of these albums I've decided to pitch in and contribute one commemorative coin of the denomination of the album for all 50c, $1 and $2 albums
Check out the range of albums here - thompsonscoins...
Thanks for watching and be sure to let me know which commemorative coins are your favourites in the comments!

Nice one! Are they the old Dansco albums? They were and still are very popular with Australian collectors over here! I hope you are well 😄

Hi Matthew, well done a great variety of storage options, my Favourite $2 coin is the Indigenous Military Coin a GREAT design and I agree with the $1 Changeover Coin STUNNING and the 1991 Ram's Head has always been my fav Fifty Cent Coin as you know Australia would be lost without our beautiful sheep. all the best. Stephen.

Hi Stephen! I agree the Indigenous Military $2 is a VERY nice design and was produced in a very appropriate style. Can never go wrong with that iconic rams head too!! Thanks so much for watching!

Hey Matt Nice folders you got there. Wonder if they have a folder for commemorative 20c coins as well? My favourite $2 coin would have to be the 2012 red poppy. Simple and beautifully designed. My favourite $1 would also be the 2016 changeover and my favourite 50c coin would have to be the 1966 round along with the 1991 25th anniversary of decimal currency aka Rams Head.
@ThompsonsCoins

I bet they will eventually! I'll keep an eye out and might have to do a follow up video in the future! The poppy is definitely the most iconic coloured $2 and I doubt it will be surpassed anytime soon! Ohh the rams head was a fantastic design, I am a huge fan of that one too!! Also, love the round 50s of course!

Hi William! I looove the Canadian coins, I truly think they are the most advanced mint in terms of the application of colour to coins in the world! I'll be doing a video in the future with a comparison between the two counties coloured $2 styles so keep an eye out for that! 😊

Great video, Matt! It was a nice, personal touch to end with mentioning your personal favourite coins in these denominations. Without doubt, the 1977 Silver Jubilee is the prettiest 50-cent coin. And the 2016 Changeover is an inspired $1 coin (as indeed are all the changeover coins). For the $2, I agree that the Honeybee is a lovely coin. I would suggest the various Red Poppy $2 coins are more beautiful, but unfortunately they're tainted by the unjustified high price and the abysmal RAM release last year-so I have a love/hate relationship with the Red Poppy. As always, loved your video. (And I just received the 2023 Tooth Fairy coin from Thompsons Coins. Thanks!)
@ThompsonsCoins

Thanks so much for watching! I think your relationship with the poppy is becoming more and more common with genuine collectors. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video and that your tooth fairy coin arrived safe and sound! ☺☺

As a kid I remember being fascinated by those Jubilee 50c coins. They had just come out (yeah I'm old) and they were the first coins I had seen with a different image than normal. I remember them being quite common at the time

Nice one Stepehen! Was it that coin that got you into collecting perhaps? They are still quite common now which I think is a good thing as it allows anyone to get hold of them at a reasonable price and enjoy them 😊

I should have known you'd go the round 50 Scott! Love the Bicentenary coin too that's a very intricate design! Those dinosaur coins were fantastic too, it's interesting to see Auspost are unable to sell them and have heavily discounted them! Thanks for watching! 😊

I love the 2 dollar coronation coin. It’s a shame it’s such an expensive one haha. I also really like the ram head 50 cent coin celebrating the 30th anniversary of decimalisation.

For me it’d have to be the poppy as it’s for my birthday. And the 50c would be the Charles and Diana and the $1 it’d be the changeover but never seen one in the flesh
@ThompsonsCoins

Excellent coins all round! The Charles and Diana coin was VERY popular upon release for obvious reasons and it's interesting to see that there are still a number of modern proof coins being produced with Diana on them.

Thanks for watching! There are cheaper albums out there on the market but I was a big fan of the style/theme on these albums. I wouldn't suggest to put your entire collection into on of these folders, I view them more as a stand alone collection to put together for enjoyment or to introduce someone to the excellent hobby of collecting. I'm afraid if I cut the price in half and pre fill the folders I wouldn't be in business for much longer🤣

An album like this, which instead holds capsuled coins, would be great. Then the coins would be protected but still visible. I assume these only hold circulating coins. Nobody is going to put a Mars coin in one - I hope 😂
