+Hermione Jarvis Hi Hermione, I' glad you enjoyed the show - the brush I used for most of the painting is a da Vinci mix B size 6 mop , holds lots of paint and can do large areas of wash but also has a fine point- almost paints by itself!

+jan thomson Hi Jan! Thank-you for replying I appreciate the answer. I've been looking for a good brush to use in watercolors, I'll go take a look at the brush is there any other brushes you'd recommend? I'd appreciate any guidance you could give me, thanks again & take care!

+Hermione Jarvis , as with many painters I have a big collection of brushes, most of which I never use! The smaller one which I used during the tv show is a rekab synthetic mix size 12 round. For my style of painting I find that it's always best to use the biggest brush I can - the less times the brush touches the paper the fresher the result - so I usually use the big one for as long as I can, just switching over when I get to smaller shapes - I hope that this is helpful! if you're interested you can sign up to my blog at korimakostudio.com , which often has painting tips and ideas. thanks, Jan

+Mr Fancypants , hello there , part of the idea behind CIYL is to show artist's process , which needs to be explained a bit- once you begin painting it can be hard to talk at the same time (left brain/right brain) , so we may need to talk a bit before we lift the brush to describe what we're about to do- sorry for the suspense!
