I use a product called Lead Away by Kleenbore. It is the only thing I found that completely removes the rings from my King Cobra and Smith revolver (both stainless). It's a cloth that has a mild abrasive, just cut off a small patch, so you get a lot of use out of it. Not safe on blued finishes, however.
@TerryBenton Жыл бұрын
This cloth is non abrasive that I use in this video. It will completely remove the burn rings by gently rubbing it. Try it. Thanks for watching

@@ebs777 No. I don't have anything that old.

Nice. I use white scotch brite pads with Hoppes #9. A box of pads is cheaper and will last 15 life times as you cut 1 inch squares off. Doesn't scratch and burn rings come off like magic..

Would you recommend this same procedure for burn marks on the cylinder of a blued revolver?
@TerryBenton4 ай бұрын
I do not think so. The reason this works so well is that it is obviously some type of abrasive chemical. Abrasion wears bluing. It will work but I do not know how long before it wears through the finish
@jjmag3107 Жыл бұрын
I don't own any revolvers any more, but I had an original stainless Colt King Cobra. I'd use a product called FLITZ to clean the lead burn marks off the cylinder face. Worked great.

How does it feel shooting it with those ivory grips compared to the rubber grips ?
@TerryBenton Жыл бұрын
It feels pretty good. I specifically picked those grips because they are oversized and has finger grooves. They are the identical pattern as the old Colt python elite grips made by Altamont. I always buy that pattern when I want to cha get the grips on a Colt.
