I don’t think some people realize that on a standard 5.56 BCG the charging handle doesn’t even touch the carrier key. There’s a ledge on the carrier itself that it grabs. Hence why they would ask a question like that about the angle on that key.

I agree with you. Many people tend to think the charging handle pulls back on the carrier key which obviously isn't correct. Thanks for stopping by.

The bolt may have passed a long time wrapped in an oiled plastic bag… the CLP dries after a while and leaves some weird residue.. I get the same effect on some spare BCG I have set up for long term storage

Frens03, Your bag theory is very good. I've tried cleaning it, but the discoloration doesn't go away. Overall it isn't a big issue to me. I will try to work on it some more though.

Leave it soaked in CLP I guess the effect will get uniform soon or later

Hello, having difficulty still? Do a search under Liemohn Manufacturing LLC. The only reason it might not display is if you are under 18 years of age or not from the united states. I had a run with some south african teenagers who incessantly wanted to buy but were not qualified to do so. So I tighted down on the veiwership to strictly those who can actually buy from me.
