j-hope Assistant Drill Instructor : Hobi Is More Athletic Than You Think

Remember when ARMY were so scared for Hobi when he enlisted? But then he became an assistant drill instructor.
"The assistant instructor's main responsibility is to discipline recruits and demonstrate training exercises." As BTS's dance leader, Hobi is made for this position.
"Only a handful are selected at each division, and the position requires strict qualifications." Being an outstanding trainee, Hobi is used to excelling in any task given to him.
"To be chosen as an assistant instructor, soldiers need to apply for the position while training and pass a physical examination and an interview."
We now know that Hobi passed the test and is an official assistant drill instructor. Hobi is not into sports as much as the other members. But he is more athletic than we think.

I cried in fear for Hobi before he entered the military. I still remember his weight loss and vulnerability before Lalapalooza, but then he ruled the stage and thousands of people. He is a phenom! A winner. A star.

Thank you Colt for remiding us how strong our Hobi is. I was one of those that was so afraid of him being hurt and weak at the military. I am still ashamed of doubting Hobi this way. I'm so happy and proud of how strong and capable he is. ❤

I have complete confidence in our boys. They have the physical abilities but more importantly, they have the strong determination, will power and the mental strength and focus to become the best at everything they do. Your Hobi videos are always sooo heartwarming 😊💜 I love how Suga will say something then gets this shy embarassed look on his face ..lol The Field day edition is one of my favourite episodes. That and Tv On Air. I watched it so many times, I dont know if it's because it was the final Run episode, or Jin announcing he won Mcountdown with Astronaut 🤷‍♀️ ... but I just love it. Hobi was such a fantastic goalkeeper & the "hot potatoe" volleyball 😅... They had so much fun playing those games.

Hobi has strict requirements for his members and himself. He takes everything he does seriously and strives for perfection. I'm worried about Hobi being afraid of heights and bugs. I hope he can overcome the difficulties, no longer be afraid, and successfully complete his military service training. 2seok are just special. I know since day 1, but their work as instructors and being elite warriors says a lot. They could go to the military and just "chill", but they belong in such positions. It shows how commanding Jin can be if he wants but he doesn't use it often, as well as our Hobi, Jay, Jack, Hoseokie. They don't joke when it comes to hard work and dedication (and neither do the other 5, but haven't enlisted yet, I'm so curious about what they'll choose to do! -- Yoongi has started his work, but hasn't completed the mandatory training yet, but unfortunately he cannot show off)

Hobi gives me Clark Kent vibes😊 you would never think hes superman till he goes "physical and smart" . What he told jin on In the soop 2 gave us a lil insight. "Mind over matter" i ALWAYS was impressed with jhope conquering his fears. He goes back in even if it kills him. You can tell hes physically sick from the thought 😵‍💫😵🤢 ( swimming with sharks, bunjee jumping, roller coasters, getting up early to run in summer heat ) i THINK he throws in the towel with bugs tho😂

He is oblivious about this too. Acting like he is not that physically strong and always mentioning how he doesn't like working out. He doesn't need to have big muscles to be athletic or work out long hours. Hobie has such strong core and physical ability already by so much dance practice. He has it all to be assistant drill instructor 😌 oh but how I was surprised when he carried Namjoon on his back, I was shocked! Hobie is Allrounder 🤭

After watching their stage shows and rehearsals I realize the BTS young men are way more physically fit and have much more stamina than probably any of the other soldiers do! Wears me out just watching!

Okay not being able to open the twist-off bottle cap is a bit surprising 🤔 but pit that against all the other feats of athleticism and sheer power, carrying big boy Namjoon on his back will always amaze me, it's no surprise that he is an Assistant Drill Instructor!!! ☺ But what I think makes J-Hope an instant shoe-in is his agility, attention to detail, and his mental fortitude!!!
