A Human V Human battle against Koldobika from the Few Good Men Community. This is a mirror battle with me in defence.
This is a battle in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy which is one of a series of realistic tactical combat simulations from www.battlefront.com. A wide variety of settings are available from world war 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to modern day fictional conflicts in Syria (Shock Force 2) and Ukraine (Black Sea)

Been watching your AARs for a while now and it’s really amazing how much your style has come along. As dumb as it sounds these videos really are an art form and yours are easily the most engaging and cinematic. When the day comes when Battlefront actually starts giving a shit about marketing material I hope they go to you first

I would have guessed he spent all of it on artillery. At 17 minutes was the only time the AO got quite....wow. Excellent as always Double.

I remember watching George Fromby as a very young kid in the '70s, didn't realise some of his stuff was so naughty, especially for the '30s. Every generation thinks they've invented smut, just goes to show

@@MrSirDouble When I used to work in music distribution I bought myself quite a few vintage sex and drug compilation albums. Although being from the 20s and the 30s I don't use them for my CM Music mods.

Yet another tour de force. Reinforces the axiom that artillery alone is insufficient to secure objectives; gotta have the ground-pounders, Poor Bloody Infantry.

From one of Hapless' videos, he mentions using the evade command if you need to move suppressed units as the command "seems to ignore suppression" It may be better to use this rather than the usual move commands when withdrawing A Co from the artillery strike. Although I am sure you already know this. Of course this doesn't not work if they are in panic or shaken mode when they can't even be given orders.

I ordered a fast move command, I believe this would be the evade command you refer to. Soldiers in CM don't always follow orders, this time some were 'pinned' so refused to move for a short while. The barrage also started at the beginning of the turn so it was a full turn before I could issue the withdrawal, not everyone listened :(

Nice one. It’s a shame the force selection screen doesn’t give you a visual representation of your units you’ve picked before committing to the battle. I know you can always test it within another quick battle setup, but there’s always room for error...

I usually triple check my force selection to make sure I've got what I want. I was a numpty on this one, forgetting TRPs and the HMG. It worked out alright in the end but my defence would have been very different if I'd had the Vickers. The question is, what I would of had to sacrifice?

Did you use a sound mod for this? Add in sound effects after the fact? And if this is from a mod, where did you find it because i want all my battles to sound like this now
