Take back our country from exactly WHAT ? Are we as a nation supposed to go back to the 60s and live under those conditions ? Why do so many people want to go back to “ the good ol’ times “. I was ten in’63 and I knew life wasn’t that great for the adults in my family. Some working minimum wages and not having a union to address the bad work conditions and bad safety issues. Inferior medical technology and practices. Pollution everywhere. Real nuclear threats around the planet. Is that what you want us to return to ? Perhaps you want a strong leader who will force the country into their rules without the actions of congress and the will of the people. Because that’s what Combat was fighting against in France in WWII. AGAINST NAZI TYRANNY !!! Remember hitler ? Do you want a hitler type of president in the United States of America ? Please explain what you mean by TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY means to you. These times are in the third millennium after Christ. And you want us to go back to the 1960s just because kids today have evolved away from their parents identities ? Didn’t you ever rebel against your parents music or literature ? Or clothing or types of food or politics ? Are you still a “ good obedient little boy who never talks back “ ? C’mon man. Take back our country to WHAT ??? Just asking …

The summer before Season Four, the producers went to France to the Loire Valley and elsewhere to famous castles and structures to give the show depth. They asked Morrow and Jason to go with free air and expenses, but no pay. They were getting paid when episode aired. Both said unless they were paid, no go. That is why the exterior shots are wide and stand ins were used in this episode, the Linesman and the one where Rick Jason escapes from the castle.

Sgt Saunders has GOT to have built up some tolerance by now lol after all the loudmouths and idiots he's had to deal with since the show began. 🤣 This Boxer kid appeared in Season One as a strange Soldier that happens along Saunders and his squad by saving them from a German Tank with a Bazooka that had them pinned down unable to move. He goes on to give everyone else a bad vibe, especially Kirby, which turns out to be somewhat prophetic when he displays severe cowardice later on in the episode, almost getting multiple people killed in the process. It's Season One Episode 18; "Next in Command." (In case anyone cares lol) I thought he looked familiar here, in this episode so I HAD to pause it for a second and check it out. 😇👍

Fun Fact: Volkswagen ( THE PEOPLE´S CAR COMPANY if you translate it straight ) as a company was founded just vor this puroose originally, making military vehicles for the German Army ( DAS DEUTSCHE HEER back then ) under a smoke screen Officially Germany had not been allowed doing so by the treaty of Versailles. So the Nazis briought out the slogan " A car for every Party Member and Worker. " trying to push also the inlistment into the Nazi Party. ( that is why the Car Company is still partly owned by the German State of Lower Saxony untill this day ) Technically THE KÄFER ( Bug ) was even older It was an old Bauhaus design dusting in some closet because the construction was seen as to expensive in the later days of the Republic of Weimar./ Synonym for German Reich ( the constitutional parlament had met in Weimar past World War I. ) Even WOLFSBURG itself were the company is located was founded by the Nazis joining some villages there. And the name WOLF was in truth the nickname of Hitlerr by his freinds ( if a psychopath could have real friends )

This one here at the beginning looks exactly like le château Blois at the Loire in France. It is world famous for its owners and its visiters like Leonardo da Vinci who had stayed there But maybe it was a replica rebuilt somewhere stateside if that were not cleverly put in footings
@ulissedazante57482 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's a replica somewhere in the studios. They had, at the time, sets of every kind and form at the ready, villas, streets, castles, modern cities, middle ages villages, Greek temples. The French village Combat blew up, conquered, patrolled, so many times had to be repaired and cleaned up every week, as MGM loaned the same village to other shows, nice and clean, when the boys are rat-a-tatting in another places.

Probably the greatest US athlete to die as a result of wartime service was Christy Matthewson, an MLB HOF pitcher for the NY Giants prior to WW 1. He died of TB contracted as a result of an accidental gassing during a WW 1 exercise in Europe. Another is Charlie Paddock, familiar to those who have seen "Chariots of Fire" as one of the American athletes in the 1924 Olympics in Paris. He died in a plane crash in Alaska while serving in WW 2. He had also served in WW 1. Most of you know the story of Pat Tillman, defensive back for the football Cardinals who died in Afghanistan.
