Yes the combat is fun in SC but sneaking onto somones ship uninvited and murdering them while they are unaware of the stowaway in the middle of space and stealing there stuff.... That's what gets me going! Maybe I'm a bad person? I blame escape from tarkov and General Sam.

That’s basically why cig wants to slow the combat speeds but I honestly think a better solution would be to increase all the weapons range by at least 500m mean it’s space a projectile will not lose its momentum like the current models do

Star has some high level of combat when you get into it and it's impressive. Knowledge and actual skill are what matters and I love it no cheap tricks

Really comprehensive for starters. I’ll recommend this as beginner tdlr over the legacy fleet vids from now on.

Well done. You've really got a great instructor. Even in non-combat situations, using pitch & roll is faster and more efficient for vector change than yaw + boost. Complaints about excessive "drift" and "jousting" in SC combat are generally a good signifier that the pilot making the claim hasn't figured out what Avenger_One is teaching you here.

Dude bight your younger about the avenger titan! Before the 3:14 update and wipe of everyone’s accounts I had my avenger titan set up perfectly for me! I was doing the EHRT with mine and taking out hammer heads with it! Yeah it took awhile to take that hammer head down? But the ship handled all the other ships with ease and I’m still to this day only using mouse and key board for all fighting in this game! But after the 3:14 update rsi freaking nurffed the ships weapons systems to the point all gats run outta ammo in under 3 seconds and all energy based weapons dump their charge in the same 3 seconds time frame! At the time of the 3:14 update and wipe of my account I had grinded out 22 ships and every version of almost every land vehicle in the game with the exception of the tanks and the other larger like 8 wheeled vehicles! The last ship I grinded out was the 600i which between that and my Connie andromeda were the biggest ships I wanted to own in the game! And I had grinded the 600i out like the day before the wipe so I only flew it once! And as the titan goes I swear they also nurffed the Quantum drive on that ship as well because I could with the base stock Q drive go from microtech to Hurston or port Olisar without stopping between for a refuel of q juice! After the update not possible! And at the time just before the update the only ship that size class I grinded out that couldn’t Quantum from microtech to any other plant in the game was my stock 325A. Which is we’re I found the best Quantum drive for these sized ships is the Atlas drive! And guess what drive wasn’t available just after the 3:14 update anywhere? Yup the Atlas drive! I hit every space port and every city in the game looking for the Atlas drive and never found it! Has rsi not nurffed the ships weapons systems as harshly as they did I could have done more then package deliveries with my titan!

Is there any specific benefit to using the trailing gunfight over the leading gunsight?

This video alone made me see that you can change the targeting type... The only thing that has annoyed me is how i'm targeting some box instead of the box showing me where my shots will land. it's similar, but it isn't the same that i'm used to. Nice fights, wish I could have been there, I only have an arrow but I should have brought out the constellation so you could have some multi-target experience. with the fighter.

I keep seeing the "aim reticle" (that small circle that points the direction your shots go to, don't know the exact word for that, sorry, I'm not a native english speaker) in various youtube videos pointing right over the target instead of ahead of it, like I have in my game. Is that a configuration setting or is it an ingame option, like changing between gimballed, fixed, etc. that I don't know about?

is joystick mandatory in dogfight? I am thinking that this manouvers would be hard to execute with mouse and keyboard. I do have THrustmaster hotas X, but I was not happy while I was trying to use it in flight

How do you brake so fast without boosting on the opposite direction ? You go from like 240 to 30 in half a second without loosing any boost ??

anyway you or @avenger_one could give us some tips on sens curves and or deadzones for duel stick controls

Maybe see if they can add training weapons to the game. So you activate training guns you still see tracers from energy weapons and kinetic and missile are simulated on the sensor suite. Damage would be monitored but not actual damage components shutdown if they have been destroyed if your ship is destroyed it shuts down but no damage. Just so players can have simulated training in craft. Or just literally add a simulation chair in game to fight in a sim.

this is truly the basics, me and my mate have been playing for 2 days (about to head off on the second and start the third tomorrow) and sadly didn't learn anything new from the teaching part of the vid as it is as basic as it gets, so if 95% of people dont know this within a week, then this just isnt the game for them. i wish i could have tried to fight you, i would have loved that 1mil aUEC to but a new ship, then try fighting avenger to see how it goes. i play on keyboard and mouse, working on a keybind setup to not need the mouse as that is what im used to doing on every other game with flying, including no man's sky, battlefield and gta.

so what i see is not too much aiming on that target "reticle/box" but yet pretty effective hits. so i am trying to understand the reason and mechanics around that. i haven't really done bounties but those i did were PvE - but even those were troublesome - so i guess the question is - do you not aim for the "box" for hits??

Im confused on how this works, is this just a random area where everyone decided to go PVP at? Or is it a designated area that you go to in order to do pvp?

My one real gripe with A1 is him calling it a mag and not a cap. Dumping a mag doesn't sound correct when we're dealing with capacitor levels, but eh.
