COMBAT APPROVED

COMBAT APPROVED

2 жыл бұрын

This is one of the most unusual episodes of Combat Approved. It is dedicated to the DGA - Directorate-General of Armament of the Ministry of Defense. It’s the department that plans what the Russian weapons of the future will be like for decades to come. For the first time on TV, the viewers will be able to see the design of a promising aircraft carrier, learn more about ultra-high-speed attack helicopters and Russian strike drones. In general, about everything that will be developed and built in the next few years. The film crew of Combat Approved will visit all the closed and classified research institutes of the Armed Forces, which collect information about external threats, in order to come up with an adequate response to them. For example, we will show you exclusive footage of Russian military scientists testing missiles that are only being developed at DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Administration of the US Department of Defense. If they ever be adopted, it will not happen before 10 years from now. And our military is already working on countermeasures.

The key principal of democracy is the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few but the needs of the few or one must be taken into account when making laws, this principal has died here. What you said, man! Our "givernment" here in the U.S. has done more to antagonize Russia in recent years than I would have dreamed in my worst nightmare. We have squandered our opportunity to make peace and reasonable alliances with Russia because the party in the minority at the time wanted to create a new bug-a-boo, a new bogeyman with which to terrorize the ignorant and uneducated among us. The Dragon in the East has already stated its intentions to wipe us all off the face of the Earth to provide living space for its own people (If that sounds familiar, look up Lebensraum). Only a united front from the other great nations of the Earth will prevent this.

Russia needs to urgently put the YAK 141 back into production, with modernised engines, avionics and ECM systems and operate them from frigates - aircraft carriers are too vulnerable, slow to procure and high risk! Create towed support/landing platforms/barges, so that they can be deployed on the move and collected when reqd, and/or operate from support vessels - blockades of the SCS are coming!! Consider floating hydrodynamic pontoons combined with aviation fuel storage so that VTOL aircraft can be tethered upon them and povide propulsion ie jet powered boat that can operate as an aircraft as and when needed!
@Uncle_9-11
@Uncle_9-11 2 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what Russia understands and it's also only why Russia only built 2 aircraft carriers (at least that which I know of) the admiral Kuznetsov and the other one which was sold to the Indian Navy. In a huge conventional war between the US and either Russia or China, the US 11 aircraft carriers would be the PRIME targets of the enemy navy and the enemy would undoubtedly cripple the US Navy if these aircraft carriers were to be taken out first, not sunken of course but at least damaged beyond repair and unable to perform the missions they were built for. The Russian Navy understands this and is why it develops such highly potent hypersonic anti ship missiles, Russian battle cruisers and destroyers are named "aircraft carrier killers" For a very good reason

Thanks for an interesting look into the DGA. I'm not stupid enough to believe this video does not have any propaganda in it, but sometimes the purpose of propaganda is a positive one, to wit: to bolster the confidence of the people in their leaders, and pride in their nation. I believe this is mainly what is taking place here. That the Russian government even permitted this "peek behind the curtain of secrecy" is a signal to us of how turbulent and dangerous the current world situation really is perceived to be by Russia's military minds. We would all do well to learn the lessons presented here. Russia's not playing around. Neither should we. The world is a more dangerous place than ever before because of the complacency and lassitude present in the U.S. and elsewhere. We shouldn't be surprised or offended that they are trying to learn all they can from and about us. It means we may still be worthy of their attention, and, therefore, may have somewhat to offer as an ally once this lukewarm war in the East becomes hot.

Answer nobody know even in Russia :D Borisov (deputy minister of defense, gave interview on 10 minute) said that it can be included in next military program (previous one was 2011-2020, current 2018-2025, next one will arrive somewhere in 2024), so, if will be accepted decision to build it (majority against), it can be lay down somewhere from 2025, so will not arrive until early 2030s I guess, Russia now almost finished new shipyard specially to build huge ships fast, so in theory it can arrive much faster, unknown. Anyway, until this shipyard will be not finished (2024), there are literally no place to build ship (at Soviet times for such huge ships used shipyard which was founded else in 18 century by Empress Catherine the Great and it left on territory of modern Ukraine).

There are shots from Syria, where Syrian tankers are fleeing from an absolutely serviceable and combat-ready T-90 only because the dynamic protection worked (this is a mini explosion), they thought that the tank was hit and ran away from the battlefield. Do you think this tank is bad or the crew is cowardly or poorly trained ? Often a lot depends on who controls the equipment!

Why would they need carriers in the first place, they don't need them unlike the US, maybe when north sea route gets going then they might need a couple

@OrtonHeadXIV

@@dirwanedy8919 The two shipyards that could build aircraft carriers are busy building Nuclear icebreakers and Oil tankers, it's not a priority no matter how much the Russian navy wants it, for now Priority is for Civilian orders, maybe in 10 years when shipyards are done with current orders. For now they're building two 40k ton Helicopter carriers that might operate drones and they'll do the job for pacific and northern fleets, China will be dedicating all their power to building their own CVs and i doubt Russia would give such an important project to China .
