Hyabusa T3 are fucking amazing I duck at boxing I'm brand new 2 it but I'm LOVING my Outslayer bag . best in the world and these 16 oz gloves make me safe and comfortable and the thumb material I can wipe sweat off my face just the coolest part about the gloves . the knuckles are extremely cushioned and the double strap wrist is great my wrist can't curl. I bought some 30 dollar gloves a month ago and I strained my left wrist punching a freestanding bag so I got better gloves and a wuality heavy bag . no more wrist injuries for me 🙂

I'm actually loving my Champion (?) Red White and Blue Heavy Hitters 14 Oz in velcro. They're a pretty fantastic Winning clone that's only $130. I just looked at their website and couldn't find my glove available on their website. They're really well balanced and padding is great. My knuckles are never sore. I use the 14 Oz for mitt and bag work. The 16 Oz would probably be perfect for sparring.

I'm punching the heavy bag with bag mitts. That and fist pushups have made my hands pretty hard and resilient now I can punch full power in almost anything and not feel pain and discomfort. The old boxers use to punch bags with mitts only so the hands would become hard as stone. For training mitts and sparring i use Fairtex BGV6 and they suit me well.

Nice pair of winnings. One brand that reminded me of the fit, finish and quality of winnings, is a glove from SABAS, but for the fraction of what you’d pay for winnings. My favorite glove for feel and feedback is the Rival RS100 and the venum hammer (signature glove for Lomachenko). Both happen to be very good looking gloves too, if that matters.

Hayabusa T3 were the first gloves I purchased and IMO the best beginners glove. Fantastic wrist support, super snug, and great knuckle protection. Two years later and they are still in great condition. Only problem I have with them is that they don't offer very good feedback. I now use Cleto Reyes gloves just because I like the sound of "pop" when i'm doing bag work haha

Similar to most hobbies beginners dont know if they if still do it a year later, so spending 170 bucks is kinda risky. So I would consider cheaper ones for the first 6 months and during that time you can also try out different gloves and finding out what you prefer (oz, wrist protection etc.).

I think rival makes the best all around gloves protection for knuckles protection for wrist quality and durability many other gloves offer protection in the knuckles a lot like winning and not really the greatest wrist protection then you have gloves like Reyes that are probably the best quality with the least protection for knuckles. But boxing gloves are a lot like shoes just depends what you like and how they make you feel

Hey great video, can I ask what weight and brand gloves you use for normal pad and bag work? Boon seems to be a good choice from reviews, would they be a good choice for pad and bag? Yokkao is another brand I am looking at due to my smaller hands, what do you think about them?
@CombatCultureUSA
@CombatCultureUSA 3 жыл бұрын
12 oz winnings are my go to's. I use my Boon's mostly for sparring, but have done pad work with them on before and they felt great. I spent a few months using Yokkao's and I thought they great. They're smaller than the Boons so they're easier to carry around and will probably fit your hands better.

@@CombatCultureUSA thank you for the reply! The winnings are so nice, especially in the clean white color. How are boxing gloves for pad and bag work? Are they better than traditional muay thai gloves? I purchased the 12oz boon compact due to the positive reviews, as I heard those are good if you want a snug fit. But for my next pair, I might consider a boxers glove in 12oz. I dont plan to compete so I dont necessarily need to train in 12oz muay thai gloves. At $100 you have quiet a few choices to choose from. Fairtex, Boon, Twins, Yokkoa's are all around that price point on the Muay Thai side, Venum's are more of a hybrid between the two but were my main go to's for a few months. The Yokkao's I have are 12oz and they fit pretty snug, and I don't have large hands either. I think with hand wraps on, you should be fine with 14oz Yokkao's. To answer your second question, you should be fine to spar / train western boxing with Yokkao's, competing would be a different story and up to the folks holding the event (and you'll likely need 16oz). Question: Shipped to my door the Cleto Reyes Training Gloves is about $70 more than a pair of Hayabusa T3 (regular version). I'll be using them for basic boxing training (no sparring), which would buy? I know it's personal choice just curious what your personal choice would be. I'm 5'7" 150 lbs if that helps any
@BoxingFishingGuy
@BoxingFishingGuy 8 ай бұрын
I think the T3 are a better value but I’ve never owned a pair. I have 5 year old pair of cletos that feel like they are about done. You almost have to have bring 2 gloves to the gym for awhile to break the cletos in because your hand will start hurt after a couple of rounds. I would estimate the cletos need probably 72 rounds on the bag to break in

@CombatCultureUSA
@CombatCultureUSA 3 жыл бұрын
Both are good brands, and their price points are pretty similar. Reyes are great for boxing, but break in period is pretty rough. Not much to choose from in terms of designs, but punches feel amazing with them on. Hayabusas have little to no break in period, and more designs to choose from. The ones I have are pretty snug but I think the ventilation can be better. They do offer some of the best wrist support available. Can’t go wrong with either brand, let us know which one you ended up getting!

Out of the three, I've only used Cleto's and I break them out on occasion but for whatever reason, they don't fit my hands well. However, I have a lot of training partners who spar / train with Cleto's exclusively, so if I were to recommend, i'd have to say Cleto's.

I have the twins special bgvl 3. Good hand protection, fantastic leather, great soft padding for sparring but finger compartment on the small side. My fingers almost push thru the leather. It just fits so with longer fingers I had a problem. Btw im 186 cm and have for my length not the biggest hands. If you have long hands better look for other gloves. If you wanna stay with Twins the bgn is good for large hands. On of the few models that is made for big western guys
