OpenAI has released an option to combined the ChatGPT plus plan with the ChatGPT teams plan, eliminating the need for both.
Here is exactly what they announced.
"You’re also welcome to keep your personal workspace separate from your Team workspace. In that case, you don’t need to take any action.
To proceed with merging workspaces, please visit the “Settings” section in your ChatGPT Team workspace, navigate to “Data Controls,” and select “Merge data from your personal workspace.”
Please note that merging workspaces is irreversible. You will lose access to your data if you are removed from the Team or if the workspace is deactivated.
Migrating your personal workspace will transfer your chat history and GPTs, but will delete other information such as Custom Instructions and Plugins. After merging, your Plus subscription will be canceled and refunded, and your personal workspace will be deleted. Members you invite to your Team workspace can also choose to merge their personal ChatGPT workspace data into their Team workspace."

Thank you, this was a good update. I wonder, if you could make some more videos highlighting Teams mode from different team member perspectives. It would be nice to see how it really benefits a small organization / group be more cost effective and productive. This could be an ongoing Playlist considering many are figuring if this investment is worth it. Especially ChatGPT Plus is also proving to hit upper ceiling at times in terms of capability vs AI hype. Thank You once again.

If you have GPT Plus through the Apple app and you sign up for Teams and then merge your info over to Teams and cancel the Plus subscription, are you still able to use GPT in the Apple app since you’re now enrolled into Teams?

the main reason going for teams account is because of privacy data, model is not trained on your data, that's all you need to know when going teams. cheers!

Great video! it just seem’s this was more disaster-control than anything from OpenAI. Would it be okay if I contacted you privately via email? Only if you're free, of course. It's nothing major, just a genuine question regarding potential chatgpt/tech -based stuff and a bit of my own personal matters.
