I'm baaaaaack! In today's video let's catch up and bit and then go shopping for the upcoming living room makeover! I love bringing you along with me on my shopping trips, and this is a really fun one. The Farmer's Wife, in Greensboro, NC is one of my favorite antique shops in the area and I can't wait for you to experience it. And if you're into hauls - then you'll want to stick around to the end to see everything I purchased for the makeover reveal (which is coming in 2 weeks!).

Happy to have you back! Your haul was filled with truly beautiful pieces that I look forward to seeing how you blend each into your home. I am enthralled by gardens and the one behind the Farmer‘s Wife shop looks divine! I imagine there is a fountain and every inch just speaks to all 7 senses lol. Thanks for sharing the background so we can really appreciate their efforts to transform that area…so lovely. I love everything in there and could have done a lot more damage. 😅 The best part was the connection and flowers - what an unexpected and absolutely beautiful surprise! So glad that you are back and your healing is going well. Yet some more great pieces that you purchased. You are like me in that I gravitate towards things that a lot of people probably wouldn't see the beauty in. I also liked how the owner spoke life into you where your design skills are concerned. Sometimes others can see in us what we oftentimes don't see in ourselves. But for you, she just confirmed what you already knew. You are very talented. Please keep the videos coming.

I just listened to your message at the beginning and it resonated with me 10 fold! I, too had laparoscopic hysterectomy and it was the ABSOLUTE BEST decision I ever made! Felt like a thousand buck the next morning and felt like a million bucks by the end of the 1st week! Thank you for sharing and I love your content!

I'm so glad that it resonated with you!!! Having the surgery was the best decision I made, and I can't believe I waited so long to finally pull the trigger. Like you said, I felt a million times better coming out of surgery that I did hours before I went in. I had a really rough time for MANY years, and I'm so glad that I don't have to deal with any of that ever again! Jessica...it's so great to have you back!! Glad you are feeling better. You look great! It was fun going shopping with you. The purchases are so you and I can't wait to see where you put them. I think the wool carders were used to comb the sheep's wool so it could be made into wool thread. It's so nice having things that were purposeful, historically!! The flowers the lady gave you are beautiful.

Thank you!! I really wanted to share just in case someone else was going through something similar. If I knew what I know now - years ago, I would have done this so much sooner. Several people have contacted me as a result of my story saying that are now going to talk to their doctors - and that makes me so happy!! I’m so glad that I’m back and tomorrow I have my final appointment with my doctor and hopefully I’ll be released back into the wild. Lol!!!!

Welcome back! I’m sooo glad to see you’re back and are well. And you are absolutely glowing. I just love your style (patiently waiting on your skincare, makeup, fragrance routine/favs one day 😉 no rush). Wow that shop had some great items. You have some great finds. Those hydrangeas are so beautiful. What a sweet lady. You absolutely have a great, natural eye for design and home interior/improvement and I know one day you will be doing it full time. I love the finds you grabbed at the antique store. I also like to add different textures and materials to my walls especially when I’m making a gallery wall. My living room wall is a great example of that (you can see it in my thumbnail on my channel). My favorite piece from your haul has to be the basket. Something about it just made me love it. Also a piece with a story or that has a conversation tied to it is always a welcome addition.

I see we speak the same language - I love bringing things home that I feel has a story. I always like to imagine how the piece was used before it came into my possession. First Wecome back, I missed you and am glad you are doing well 🥰. Our styles are a little different but I also love shopping in antique shops. Like you I enjoy the unique items. I pass up a lot of items that I love because I am not also sure how I woul make them work in my home, but you have given me a different way of looking at things I love without feeling that I am becoming a horder. I know now where I can use a piece that I love in a place that I didn't think of before. Thanks

I like figuring out how I can use things differently than what they were intended - and that shop helps me to broaden my imagination. I’m so glad that you enjoyed coming along with me - even though our styles are different. I follow someone who is very into Victorian things (which I am not) yet I follow along with her on her shopping trips all the time. So I get it. You’re right - Habitat often has cabinets that could potentially work. We have, however, found something else that I think will be great - and just yesterday we reopened the discussion of building something on that wall. So…..stay tuned! 😅

I love it!!!!! Designing interiors is my favorite thing to do. It makes me so happy looking for special items to include and somehow making it all work within a space. I love that we have that in common!!!! Oh! My parents are going to NOLA in a couple of weeks. Do you have any jazz venues and/or places that they MUST see/visit while they're there?!!

Hi Joann!! Thank you - it feels good to be back, truly. We did think about getting already made cabinets because we did something similar in our office. They were going to run upwards of $400 just for the cabinets so it started to add up and then I got cold feet. If we were planning on staying in the house forever, I would have totally made the investment. I did end up finding something that I think is going to look great in there - so stay tuned for next week! 😅
