Starting to think that Brian has the healthiest relationship with this game. He mainly plays on stream (I think), doesn’t spend, uses his favourite unique champs, and clears content at his own pace which helps with not getting burnt out. Everyone else clears new content the day it drops, open the insane rewards to get their dopamine release and then for weeks just play battlegrounds and end up calling the game mode dead and that the rewards don’t hold up anymore . I have to agree 100%. I started playing for a nice change of pace from work and was able to get to paragon in 3 weeks. I have looked at videos in the past, but never have time to join. I don't think new players can ever catch up obviously, but they can get better rewards/heros than ever before.

As someone who took a break, around 4 months, i can say the game rn is really fun. Act 8.3-8.4 is soooo much more fun than any other act of chapters, especially with the path changes. The 8.4 boss is really fun as well, not to mention the ludicrous amount of really great rewards from doing 8.3-8.4. I mean, you can get 14k 7 star shards from doing the paths alone from 8.3 -8.4 alone. So yea right now super happy with the game

Came back to the game this past December on a mid level account I had. I quit the game back in 2018 on my main because of addiction to the game getting in life. I have had fun this time around with a more casual approach to it. Reached Paragon a month ago. It's exciting seeing so many new champions on the game roster, new abilities, synergies, new ways to approach content, objectives, etc. Overall I'm having a great time. This new event will definitely help with my push for Valiant.

i started playing a few weeks ago after 4 -5 years, i had only a couple 5* and i am doing progress with some 6* and got soem god tiers 5* already to complete act 6* . I think its worth it and there is a lot of content, yeah it may take time to build up a decent 6* roster but is much entertaining and not money / time consuming. If you already have a good 6* roster you won’t have an issue with quests. The game has gotten more entertaining

i agree with the first minute, i just came back from not playing for like 2 and a half or more years, and I went from lowly cavalier to thronebraker with a lot of 6 stars instead of 3.

I returned to the game about a month ago. I will say, while it is completely free to play, I have definitely spent real world money to help with progression. After about half way through act 5, without an extensive knowledge of character counters and node awareness, it makes lower star champions almost obsolete. I have watch many videos and while it does help, you reach a wall as a returning free to play play, simply because there are such a large selection of champions and your ability to acquire them is very random and luck based. I still play a few hours every day, because I genuinely love the game and love Marvel, but it was a daunting task to return to this game after 4 years away from it, and spending money made it much easier. Love the video! Keep them rolling out!

i would like to give my 2 cents on the state of the game. I believe this game is fun to anyone who wont take it half as seriously as the endgame players now. if anyone new is planning to start playing now, and has 3+ hours a day to grind, they will not find any fun in it. the truth is, the economy of this game is at an all time low. the distance between P2W and F2P is at an all time high, in a world where gamemodes now require diverse rosters most. to compete even with casual spenders, you would need countless hours of grinding and hard work, only to be stopped by a roadblock of changes needed to be made by the economy. new players now cant even hit GC until they are paragon level, in a gamemode that thrived in closing the gap between P2W and F2P. new players wont be able to compete in alliance war, since most mid tier alliances are retired or dont even try. alliance quest has been a bust since 2020. and the rewards coming from each gamemode arent good at the progression level that they are in. you will eventually hit a stalemate. a state where you if you do end up investing time and effort into the game, that you are just average, and wont find fun in any gamemode. the rewards will aways seem lacking, the new challenges will aways be for the end game players, and kabam still never catering towards the common folk unless it gets a few more downloads and a temporary thumbs up from the community.

All these things are great, much better than 7 or 5 years ago...but now this game drains so much of your time to have a semi competitive roster, that it's very easy to stay behind and be back to barely be able to do the same old boring stuff. Additionally side events are a thing of wonder: each month is more and more convoluted: you need an objective to get the key, to enter a quest to get another key to get the objectives to get the currency to buy from the shop. That's not even exaggerated - that's April.

Good stuff! I think a great thing about the game and a downfall of the game is content creators. When videos become rants of whining about the game - the game has it faults of course - it removes the fun out of both that video and the game. You can complain about anything in life, this is a game. Find something fun about it or move on, my attitude at least. I appreciate these kind of videos because it reminds us of the fun element of it. Thank you!

The biggest issue or my biggest problem is the A.I how are new players and returning players going to feel when they come back and there getting snap light attacked DLLs term or sidestep or get parried when using a double medium champs kabam really needs to start fixing issues and bugs ASAP I dont understand why it takes them soo long to fix issues and problems lol

Hey, Im thronebreaker. Should i get the 15k 7* shards and 15 paragon crystals or the 1-2 rank up gem and the t4a? I have 3 7*s as of rn (Sasquatch, Hyperion and IMIW) and am pretty far. I would probably r2 my sassy if i get the gem. Which deal should i pick? If the latter, should i save the gem? Btw I have an r5 6* ascended sig 100 Scorp, r4 ascended hulking and a bunch of r3s. I don't get the logic as to why getting a (possibly) 6* Awakened Sig 50 at Rank 5 so early in the game is a good thing. I'm not the average gamer, but what i like about games, especialy gacha games, is the struggle. What's the point of starting now if you're gonna get given an overpowered (any 6* character, possibly at rank 5, is op for a new account, even Groot) unit right from the start ? You either have to not use the character at all, or find yourself getting bored out of your mind as you clear all of the early content with ease. To me this is literaly just a good opportunity for existing players to do a new account challenge. Why would any "new player" that doesn't know anything about MCOC, care about an event just dishing out late-ish game rewards ? Wtf is even the abyss? Wtf is even progression titles ? As a new player, what you see is Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, etc. What i would like, as a new player, would be tons of gold and iso, which historicaly was always the most annoying thing about MCOC. Maybe some low rank catalysts aswell, because noone wants to wait for daily resets for the same quest over and over again for meh rewards. I think it would be better to get more crystals (by playing the game) and actualy being able to use the stuff you get from them (the gold and iso would allow that). Why are 6* champs and "new player" even in the same sentence ? Let new players use 2*, 3*, 4* and 5* first... Let them rank up these lower ranks and just explore the game... MCOC has already changed anough to speedrun a player into "the endgame".

Hey CC I was just wondering if you could give me some advice on how to progress? My top 5 champions are Sunspot, Abs, Vox, Galan and either Wasp or Hulkling; I’m primarily using SS, Abs, and Vox. Are there any tips you could offer in terms of making a stronger team, my roster fees very lackluster. I have about 12 6* champs and Vox is one of them, they are a R4 Vox too. Stopped playing because I felt (and was actually) forced to play Battlegrounds to stay competitive and even stay in my alliance. The most time consuming gamemode outside of Incursions. I'm just looking for a game where skill keeps you ahead, rather than mindless BG and Arena grinding.

Came back to the game after 5 years off. New account started in February made paragon last week in april. Game is in a great place imo

its true. there's content to be done and should be fun for returning players. BuT, if they come with 2-3k usd large also? much much better return, they ll get cleaned by spring cleaning and July 4th and .. just like that, magic, u will have spent 2-3k coco and you will have a much much bigger account vs some1 who use to spend but stopped for like 1 year lets say? so ya, come get cleaned and u will have fun :D

Yaa the difficulty level from act 5 to act 6 is fucked upp, i have completed upto act 5 within like couple of months ( took time for exploring) but once at act 6.1.1 I was stuck here for the past 5 months the most fucked up thing in the game !

Uninstalled today. Just too much the past couple months. Masteries not working, regular crashes especially in battlegrounds/AQ/AW, and with a limited roster, a lot of the specialized content wasn't reasonably doable. There were at least 3 pieces of content I wouldn't have completed with 100 revives. So I stopped trying and started enjoying life again. The saga nonsense in AW and all the strong new defenders didn't help. The game is great so long as you're not playing seriously and just set some goals for yourself.

You failed to mention the atrocious input and AI issues.

There are some fun things but the revive nerf, aw xmagica thing, and just all the extra content that has niche rewards that feel mandatory but are lacking is actually making me want to play less.

With all of these “great” additions, none of them address the underlining issue. Alliance war has a unique energy refil vs Battle Grounds, Quests, Special Quests, etc all having the same type of energy. Then this energy takes longer to recharge now. This is pushing players away.

Not al all. I stopped playing the game in 2022. The only thing I miss is the interaction with my old alliance mates. Edit: My PlayStation 5 is the best gaming I’ve been asking for. No more mobile games for me.
