Last week when we were in London for the Women’s Prize, Mum and I went on a bookshop crawl in the East End. So I thought I would vlog it… sort of. Here you get a mix of that vlog of the bookshops, my haul and then another haul from a bookshop closer to me! Can you guess which one? I would really recommend checking out Caper when you are in Oxford, they are a relatively new independant bookshop and I just love it in there. It's a little out of the city centre on Magdalen Rd just off Iffley road. Gutted I can't make the event tomorrow at Daunt as it sounds super interesting!

Amazingly although I make a point to visit several bookshops whenever I am in London I have never been to any of those three (however I have read Monica Ali’s novel). What fun! And what a great haul. One day I must get to the West Kirby Book Shop!

Thanks, that was fun, sadly, no independent bookshops near me, only chain bookstores. There is an antique shop that has some old books, maybe I'll venture there, they had a lesser known Forester there from the thirties, but rough shape, so I did not buy it and it was a first American, so not the one a future collector would want. My husband is reading The Fourth Part of the World by Toby Lester, which I read several years ago and bought the hardback because the cover and jacket is so beautiful. I told him to be careful, as I will be keeping it. He gets a warning because he dropped one of my books while reading in the tub years ago.😂
