"East of Eden" is such a weird book for me, I just couldn't make any sense out of it 😢 I guess one should know biblical stuff really well to understand everything Steinbeck meant to say in this book. I absolutely love his "Grapes of wrath" though, read it twice, in my first language and then in English, and cried both times.
