Not sure what they get paid to take part in these types of shows, but perhaps it made it worthwhile for her.. The prize money would surely barely cover the cost of food and time spent on the whole thing, and it seems fairly arbitrary who wins that prize - not necessarily the best cook/ host.

It doesn't matter, people can eat how they like. I think the way the Brits use their forks and shove food onto them with their knives is too weird too but it's their way. I was taught to turn my fork the other way and only use my knife to cut food, nothing else.

It depends on how the host has prepared or presented it - with cutlery means you can / should use cutlery as you shouldn't tell the host what's right or wrong in their own home.

Why are we enforcing how people should eat?

My childhood bestfriend was loud, it's just how some people are. Just louder than others. She wasn't trying to be annoying or the center of attention just had a natural loud voice. Super annoying that everyone around them tries to shut them down and silence them because they aren't like them. People like you are annoying for that

I'm too loud and also hearing impaired. When I have my hearing aids one there's a prominent difference.
