My great-grandmother had no indoor plumbing. She had a woodshed. A 4 holer, to be exact. Wasn't the greatest smelling spot in the summer nor the warmest spot in the winter. Either way, you finished your business rather quickly.😂

Those who are interested in dabbling in this sort of thing, I have a career suggestion for you. Go work in a municipal wastewater treatement plant. There you'll get all sorts of cocktails of scents. Best ones are from start of the process at the screening of solids. Especially if there's a slaughter house or a factory that processes food nearby.The scent of rancid fats mixed with poo is just delightful.
