Auntie Mabel's teapot breaks. They have to buy a new one, but the potter has run out of clay. Auntie Mabel and Pippin bring him some, then find out how teapots are made.

Here is what should have happened when the original teapot got broken Mabel- my beautiful new teapot, Pippin! I think I will tell Jay whats happened *goes to phone and dials Jay’s number* Jay- Hello? Mabel- Hello Jay it’s Mabel, I had a little accident with your teapot you got me, Pippin broke it! Are you upset? Jay- No Mabel I’m glad you told me, it was an accident. How about I come with you to get a new one? Mabel- I’d love to do that! Jay- Okay see you tomorrow at 11am if that’s okay? Mabel- Yes that’s okay, see you tomorrow! Bye Jay- Bye

I wrote a post above about my idea of how I'd do a Come Outside revive if it happened with Jay in the lead role & about briefly referring to the teapot-gate. Jay also mentioning that he would have got another one with Auntie Mabel would fit in nicely :)

Good eyes. :) The bigger one is a female who is actually called Pippin and the smaller one is her grandson who was called Mr Higgins. He died in 2008 and he did the Baker's Complete adverts - he's still on the boxes. :)

Pets have become more popular over Covid-19 so I reckon a Come Outside revive may work if it was done right. I reckon if it was ever revived, Jay should be cast, also have a new dog or two and maybe other close relatives too? The actors playing Jay and the possible relatives must be as talented as Lynda Baron was. It must have a real trained dog too as that's what made this version special. Recasting Mabel and Pippin would be wrong on all levels and disrespectful to Lynda Baron and Pippin/Mr Higgins. Mabel and Pippin should be killed off screen as a mark of respect to Baron, the real Pippin and Mr Higgins. They should be in a photo collection in Jay's home and always remain in his & the public's memory. I doubt a revive would happen but if it does, it must be done in a very real way and not have a lot of modern edits. The teapot-gate should be briefly revisited if it was brought back. Jay could bring up about the fact that Auntie Mabel revealed the truth about the teapot to him off screen when he was grown up. No grudges from him whatsoever and he would feel happy that he thought about his feelings and that she loved the teapot, but also happy she told the truth :) He would still have the remade teapot in her memory. Not sure about Jay's mode of transport. Perhaps a helicopter? I'm not sure if he would keep Mabel's plane as I don't see a cute, little plane lasting that long.

The cost of this teapot must have been more than Jays emotions if she had just said she broke it. I mean seriously I love this pogramme but flying to a clay quarry to get a potter some clay (he blatently lied and said he had none). It must of cost her about £200.00 in the end!
