Janey’s channel is so unique and the content is very rich. It is fabulous how she brings together different gardeners so that we can learn and broaden our knowledge of various approaches to landscape design and of course plants, no matter what the gardening zone. Debb is such a sweet soul. I adore the stories of the different plants and trees that memorialize her loved ones. Debb is just precious and giving credit where credit is due as a blessing from God. I think this is my favorite tour so far - and that is saying a lot based on other tours.

Victory Gardens on PBS! 😂 Every Saturday my dad would finish the yard work early, take a shower and then sit down to watch This Old House, The New Yankee Workshop and Victory Gardens. It was like clockwork. I watched with him all the way through to the last segment in VG when the lady would cook whatever the team pulled from the garden that week. I had no interest in cooking as a teen. Man, I wish I had payed attention because it would’ve come in handy now. LOL

Thank you Janey for these Sunday garden tours....every garden is wonderful and every gardener who created them is incredible in their enthusiasm and devotion to caring for their plants, shrubs and trees. We're all learning so much and having our eyes opened to the potential of every square foot of soil we oversee. I loved the story she shared about the Amarilla plant and her in laws.. so special!!!! I find it super fascinating how we associate different human emotions with plants and flowers. I often hear people saying…” I love “insert favorite plant” because my grandmother used to have them in her garden”

I love this woman and her garden is gorgeous! I also live in SoCal and it's so cool to hear someone else talk about the challenges, esp. the inversion layer and the fungal diseases that result. My full sun garden hasn't had more than 1-2 hours of sun each day (if it comes out at all) since May 6 so everything is kind of "sleeping." And I totally agree w/ how she describes Calif. native foliage as "grey green" and I'm not a fan so am always looking for drought tolerant perennials w/ deep green foliage. I will definitely be buying the Big Blue Salvia seeds!!
