Hey Lucy, loved this video! Just a little tip as a seasoned homesense shopper... I noticed you mentioned a few times about going back for things - number 1 rule of homesense is if you see something you like BUY IT! 95% of the time it won’t be there when you go back for it and you can always take it back if you regret the impulse buy and want to return it! Can’t wait to see your living room all done, sounds like it’s going to be lovely :)

Totally agree with this, but worth also mentioning that whilst Homesense don’t have a website, TKMaxx have home sections on their website so there may be a second chance to purchase some items (though of course the range on there is a lot smaller and may well be completely different) - just a thought 😊

I would defo glue the handle back on the jug, it's too bloody gorgeous to be relegated to the bin. I don't have a home sense just a TK Max which is the same company but their home ware section isn't that great.

I’m actually housebound and have been for just over five years so this is PERFECT. I miss homeware shops soooo much. I mean, all shops really, but homeward shops are always the most calming for a browse. Thanks so much for doing this!

jojessica I have quite severe ME, so my body doesn’t make energy like it should. I get exhausted whenever I do anything, even if it’s like washing my hair or something. There’s not a cure so I just have to manage it as best as I can and not use more energy then I have.

Me and my Mum are obsessed with homesense to the point where every time I go home we find an excuse to go and then obviously buy lots of things we definitely don't need lol. But it's literally the best shop ever!

Glue that handle back on, pop the pampas grass in and put the jug on the small window in your bedroom. It will look lovely!

LUCY!! Trust me: get yourself a sheepskin brush off Amazon. It made my ten year old sheepskin rug look brand new. It also gets out all the deep dirt that even a hoover can’t reach

🙋🏽‍♀️Hey Lucy! The way it kind of works is stores like HomeSence or TK Maxx buys their merchandise from major markets that have overstock. As new products come in those stores; their older items go on sale. If stock is still on hand after their sales, it's sold off to aftet market stores such as HomeSence for example. You will be amazed at the designer brands that you're going find on your future trips. Sorry about your big pot/pitcher. Try using Gorilla glue. Happy home shopping!🏭🚶🏼‍♀️

For your broken handle.. if your putting pampas grass inside maybe you could wrap some twine around the handle to hide and imperfections. The colours your choosing are so gorgeous, already changing my colours in the lounge and loving the results xx so please take us shopping again, truly loved it nice to have a different look at things except the candles always love them . You seem so relaxed with the home style videos and I'm loving them , I think your channel is growing into such a more versatile channel, Take care everyone 😉

Fun video Lucy!! Don’t buy rugs with long fringes - you’ll spend FOREVER keeping the tassels straight, (they look messy when they’re bunched up) just ‘been there done that..’ And the dish drainer mat was a great idea!!! X

Super weird coincidences for me in this video! My boyfriend and I bought our first house in May and I went to TKMAX and literally bought that exact same sponge holder and knife rack...and then went rug and blanket crazy! 🙈 It's the baptism of buying your first house 😂😂

Wayfair is really good for Persian type rugs! So many choices! Cant believe this is your first trip to Homesense! I've been going to the one in Preston for years and years! Some amazing bargains

Yay HomeSense adventure! The other things to know (other than it being addictive) is that they are always getting new stuff, every store won't have the same stuff, and if you truly love something get it as it won't be there when you go back.

Yes, you should be able to fix quite neatly that jug! Looks fab and the broken bits are big enough to glue back together easily. I managed to do that with my fave big mug (was heart broken when I dropped it!). I would however make sure to note hold it by the handle once it's repaired, just in case ;) Good luck. Lucy I think you should do something like this again because I've never been more in sync with a creator whilst they are shopping! Specially when you were buying the blankets you choose exactly the ones I loved and then said you would use them as I thought so it was really fulfilling! Also the little blue velvet stool you saw would probably look cool near your green sofa as extra sitting, maybe temporary side table or even foot rest! And it even has storage! I think you should consider it!

Assuming it’s faux fur, you can chuck those rugs in the wash and dryer. It fluffs up nicely and comes out good as new. It shortens the life span but it’s worth it if you’re going to throw it out because it’s dirty.

I can relate so much 😂 I’ve just bought a house and both my sofa and bed consists of a rug on the concrete floor and 3 cushions I stole from my sofa (which is still at the flat I’ve been renting), the things you take for granted!

If you like the brown tone pottery. It might be worth trying to source some Hornsea Pottery items. They were a local pottery company that were manufactured in East Yorkshire. Some of their stuff is available on eBay so you might be able to pick up a few brown tone pieces! Xxxx

I smother my sheepskin rug in human hair conditioner and put it through a very gentle wool wash in the machine. Dry naturally or using a dehumidifyer (not heat) and comb with a wide tooth comb. Still looks brand new 5 years later.

Since there’s a sofa that matches yours, at least in color, grab a basket and fill it with stuff you like and “dress” the sofa in store so you can see if you like the combos!

Omg if you live near Stratford/Bow area you MUST go to Lofty’s furniture. It’s basically a warehouse full of discounted amazingness from Swoon editions, MADE and Loaf etc. Sofas, lamps, lighting, mirrors - the lot... and at such bargain prices. I was in interior heaven - I feel like you’d love it!

File this also under items you didn't know you need, but I love the Umbra Sling Sink Caddy (sold on Amazon and other places). It's basically a holder for your dish brush, rather than the brush sitting loose in your sink.

The sheep rug you can brush it with an old catbrush from Flo, did mine as well with the catbrush and it’s like new! Think we have a shop like this as well in The Netherlands (Eindhoven) and our neighbors Germany have loads of them, called TK Maxx. You can spend hours in there, it’s unbelievable...

Yes homesense is horrendous. I got into the habit of going every Wednesday after work when I didn’t have my little dog with me. Don’t get me wrong I never got tat, I only bought things I loved but spending £50 every time was bad! Now I limit myself to the sale isles. Or avoid it altogether. Be careful. I love your videos. Xx
