🎉Brava! You have a great attitude & appreciation for keeping things out of the landfill🗑. Yay🎉! It's far better NOT to begrudge resellers or other customers. Everybody has to do what they can survive & thrive in this day & age. 💜We need more compassion & understanding for others. There's room for us all. As you said, there's usually quite an over abundance at most of these thrift stores. If I were to encounter two 🛒shoppers staking out the shirt section🚧, I would also gracefully concede the territory. Simply move onto other parts of the shop. Taking it in my stride as a ✝️divine sign that it was just not my timing to thrift tops. 😠 Rather than get all upset, snippy, or annoyed〰️esp. if that item was high on my wish list for the day〰️I might utter a quiet 🙏 plea for favor. It wouldn't be the first time 😘God graciously shielded shirts suitable specifically for me. People can call it coincidence, but I've often gone back over a well picked aisle to "mysteriously" find some gems when needed 🛍. Having faith & trust in a higher power as much as the whole process has served me well. No one is going to take what is truly meant for me. Ergo if something is gone or never returned, it was NOT my blessing. My lesson is to let it go. If it is meant for me, the universe will soon offer it up. 🤗 Maintaining our confidence, calmness, & composure under challenging circumstances is key. I second that. Even to get a machine should not be to expensive, in Facebook markedplace or similar places. Sewing ist no rocket science. It pays of even If you don't sew yourself new stuff on it. Just repairing and altering is a lot.

Oh no don't feel bad! I do it on purpose, unless it's like 1 or 2 sizes bigger depending on the item, just so someone who is that size will be able to pick it up ☺since I know thrifting bigger sizes can be challenging

​@Alexa Sunshine83 hi yes I was thinking the opposite of this, I love that you put things that are way too big back. You will be able to find a white flowy dress in your size, someone in a 3xl really might not. Small alterations are worth it, changing something multiple sizes too big is kinda icky to me

🌸Annelise: It IS great to be able to buy🤑 2nd hand clothes, toys, & housewares by weight ⚖️. Except it's truly NOT a practice for the faint of heart or those that want a quick fix. Fabulous fun for enthusiastic extroverts, while introspective introverts like myself can find the absolute chaos a bit daunting. 😉 It's quite 🤜competitive🤛, 💪laborious, & grueling🥵 to 👐dig through those deep piles in the bin. Particularly challenging on a popular day when you're squeezed in from 👥️️both sides👥️️ by other people who are equally determined to leave ✊️triumphant. You can't go with the expectation of a leisurely shop. ⏱️It's usually like a time trial where you gotta shuffle fast. You must operate on pure instincts & adrenaline alone. Most times when you hesitate over something, another person is right there ready to pick up the slack. It's far better to amass a huge hoard in your cart 🛒 that you can quietly & more thoroughly assess in a quiet corner. Out of the way of traffic & activity. 😃The beauty is you can literally dump your returns right back where you found 'em without any fanfare or fuss before moving onto your next target👍. 😳The few times I've been, it doesn't take me long to decide I don't want ANYTHING that much to put up with the sheer crazy intensity of the whole experience. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT

My point of sharing a thrift with me isn’t just about what I got but to show what cool things there are! Which is why even if I’m not going to buy something I still want to share. You don’t need to buy a bunch of things for it to be a good thrift trip.
