Check one, two, Check one, two. Is this thing on? Are the other channels working? Why the giant reflection filter? Did I finally buy a pop screen that works? Did the cat unplug anything crucial? How does this new tape saturation plugin work? 🤔
I quit drinking again - it’s been five days since Thursday
My head’s caving in I’m so bored
Feels sad to admit I’m a better man on medicine
I’ll bring it up at my appointment in the morning

At least you can turn it off
It ain’t all bad - I got my love, I got my friends, my Mom and Dad
They all take me as I am

I have let my body waste so my mind could do the walking

Keep going, Carson...Not everyone knows you are a musical gem, a genius at soulful melody and insightful words....yet. But we who listen have known it for sometime, and if we don't say it clearly or nearly enough, well that is our fault and not yours. For you do deserve so much more recognition, time and peace to create; as well as a long and healthy life. So keep going.

great singing and playing. you know that if your mic is only pointing to you (cardioid), you don't need a screen to negate reflections from the wall. i nearly bought one of those things 5 times. PLUS it's so much better when you sing to the camera

Carson, I'm not a musician or a singer, but I'm still interested and hope you will answer. Did you create this guitar arrangement yourself? It fits like a glove and has depth and richness that sounds like more than one instrument. It conveys the emotion of the song so well. I've noticed your playing get better over the years, but if you are cranking out original arrangements (is that the right word), then you are reaching new heights. I'm thinking on the level of guys like James Taylor and Jim Croce here (although Jim had help from Maury Muehleisen). Just beautiful. Keep it up! edit: Oh yes, I do think that wrap-around sound muffler is working.

Great song. The guitar sounds perfect but the vocals seem a bit too isolated and a little dull. I liked the more open air sound even if there was some room sound to it. It's like being there and these vocals sound like a "recording". I'm listening on Sennheiser HD 595s with a MOTU M4.

I usually totally agree!! This setup was in response to having some other players in the room earlier, and since it’s a pretty small space, I needed as much isolation as I could get. I’d never used one of these things before…I wanted to try it out! I’m a Sennheiser guy as well…HD6xxs have been my daily drivers for years.

Sound engineer/musician here.... overall, very good. Lacks a little crispness IMO. Overall mix could us a little bump at 1.5-3k hz (or a little less cut if that's what you did) and maybe 8-10k. Love your channel, Carson.
