@ruthingle1487- Uh… Yeah! Politics is a Professional field of endeavor. Politicians are professionals who work in that field. The harebrained notion that politicians should be taken out of politics makes about as much sense as removing the licensed pilots from the airline industry! Or perhaps we should consider having the gardner perform our next root canal. The problem isn’t with the politicians. The problem is the un/misinformed public; people who don’t know the difference between the House and the Senate, who elect these people into office because they say something they want to hear. Then they sit back and get pissed off when no results are produced. A Republican majority was elected in the House, at least arguably because they were Trump supporters and they promised to Sock it To the Libs. They have really compiled an impressive legislative record, haven’t they? “Be careful what you wish for…”

Oh My Saints! We have conservatives in the UK who believe in smaller government; but none of them are so stupid as to believe there should be no government at all! That's anarchy! Do these people not have the wit to realise that a society without organisation isn't a society at all, but would simply be bloody chaos? The end result would most certainly be the imposition of government, because the population would insist on some kind of order and some authority to impose it. Libertarianism, of the right or the left, makes no sense.

In California, You have to have a license to drive. You are also required to show proof of financial responsibility. Be it insurance or proof you're capable of paying for an accident with cash.
