The BBC did a very poor job on this interview. They couldn’t find one 10 second clip to let the audience know the style of the work? And yet they keep insinuating that these obvious parodies would be confusing and add to the sphere of “fake news”. Randy deserves better.

Randy is often wearing crazy glasses, his exaggerated responses are obviously comic and then he bursts into song. Only a complete idiot would mistake his material for serious journalism. Which doesn't say a lot about this reporter.

Seriously - has this interviewer never met an American with a brain? Seems like she's made several attempts to insult Americans with her repeated questioning of Randy's fans' abilities to discriminate between parody and reality. Does she think we all voted for Dumpy? And the use of the term, "naughty" diminishes Randy's brilliant use of obscenity and sarcasm.

I've been subbed to Randy for ages, and he's hilarious. It's CLEARLY all parody, I don't see how anyone could mistake it otherwise. As a comedian he is commenting on serious topics, but you'd have to be brain dead or a Trump supporter to believe it was anything other than witty commentary and parody.

What was that with not playing any Randy Rainbow video clips because they're a bit "naughty"??? I've watched enough British humor to know that comic naughtiness is at LEAST as prized across the pond as it is here in the U.S. Is the BBC always so prim and prudish? After all, the UK is the land of Monty Python and Fascinating Aïda, to name just a couple.

I love Randy. This interview was awful though and I don’t think it was his fault. Her questions were the problem. The angle that she chose to question him on was ridiculous. Why not ask about the process of making the videos at home or the experience of internet fame?

I was proud of how well he responded, in terms of hoping his audience was intelligent enough to recognize parody. I’d call that a slight (and beautifully delivered) clap back.

Since I found Randy by blood pressure has gone back to almost normal. My favorite (so far) is Desperate Cheeto. But what really bugs me is that she (and/or the BBC) thinks that some of Randy's songs "a bit naughty". Naughty where? In Nambia?

Randy Rainbow is among the internet's greatest gifts. I rarely play his videos only once - they are the KZfaq content I am most likely to share with friends. And damn, his production quality is astounding for a one man act!!

Got to say I love Randy's work, never thought it was actual news though....more like a way to lighten up heavy news stories so that I don't spiral into a vortex of depression considering all the crap going on right now. Also my mom was heavy into musicals when I was a kid (I personally prefer Rock Opera, Yah Rocky Horror), I know all the original songs he is parodying.

I do listen to NPR and the BBC news on the radio ( don't ask me why) and I have noticed British interviewers are usually so stuck on a preconceived notion about the story they are working on and also they can be relentlessly rude and pushy in their style. Seems like they are on constant attack mode no matter who it is they are talking about. My opinion. Randy you were such a gentleman about this and I am a big fan of yours even though I did not know about you until recently. I am currently binge watching what I can .

It might have been a bad interview, but I learned a lot from it which I never knew. Randy Rainbow is his real name and he does all of this himself from his studio/apt.
