Comedian and author Ziwe is out with her first book, a collection of essays called "Black Friend: Essays." She joins "CBS Mornings" to discuss how she's used her signature style of humor to discuss significant moments in her life.

Yeah unfortunately SHOWTIME the television network is just in a really bad spot. Hoping she can continue her show on some other outlet. Her George Santos interview from a week ago was amazing.

they have this kind of "so... w... what??" regarding her and her work that's so indicative of someone moving stuff forward. A lot of people don't understand- gaga had a lot of these interviews in early days... basically people being like, "uh.. so what is all this lol" very very good

I’ll admit this is the first interview I’ve seen her do where she comes off a bit abrasive. Love her! But it’s clear there’s a lot of trauma behind the humor, I hope all of this “work” helps her heal.

Her humor was too gonzo. Kinda like the Julio guy from Los Espookies. What they do seemed smug and unfunny on purpose. But she at least had punch lines at points.
