I love this master content! Thanks man! I have a suggestion! Volrath's stronghold is mighty for setting up what you want from the GY for your commander and is only a land slot.

@@ComedIanMTG I run 3 mill dorks to mill when I know whats on top. Wasn't thinking cedh when I first made the list though, so I go more self mil and high power. I also run intruder alarm and have combos to mill everyone take take their stuff as it goes.

ive been testing a version of this deck i found that playing intruder alarm was pretty interesting when the commander was really good it was when i was getting good creatures back from my gy side note a 3/3 ulamog or kozilek still has anihlator even if its only a 3/3 because your commander can be used toi respond to the gy trigger.

I've been testing out a Zellix/Haunted one CEDH deck with pretty much the same idea except without Food Chain obviously and it's fun to play tons of self mill/opponent mill. Interesting to see how much milling can effect opponents lines, but you feed Underworld Breach a ton so you have to run graveyard hate just in case. Love the deck seems like a fun keep it up.

@@ComedIanMTG I believe so yeah I toyed with the red background Passionate Archeologist but hated it. Haunted one is a little clunky since it's the same mana as your commander but it's perfect protection in the mid game, plus I run Maskwood Nexus, Undead Alchemist, and Thieves' Guild Enforcer for semi infinite mill (usually infinite mill) in the deck and Haunted One protects all my combo pieces.

Have you considered a key package in the deck? They work pretty well with your commander in general, would do some work with Mesmeric Orb, and if you include Minamo and transmute artifact, you start having a really strong one-ring package.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on intruder alarm for the deck. It has the potential to provide some insane value when combined with cards like mesmeric orb or mindcrank. But it also opens up the possibility for your opponents to gain some extra value through it as well- do you think that negative aspect outweighs any extra value it might provide for the deck?

Love your videos man, I've been really eyeing Atraxa foodchain for quite a while but this list looks super fun. Do you feel like this list is more aligned with a faster meta than Atraxa is or what major differences (white being the most glaring one along with Atraxa being 7cmc) do you feel between the two lists?

Deck is great. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here. Small question and sorry if it’s been discussed elsewhere. Do you consider torrent elemental in a bug food chain deck? Seems like it has some advantages over eternal scourge (most importantly pitches to forces) but it may be that cmc 3 is too important. Thanks!

@@ComedIanMTGIts a bit complicated and maybe not worth the effort. You need Muldrotha (can be animated) + Petal in the grave. Muldrotha pushes the deck a bit further into a grindy direction, but might be worth a try instead of the other reanimation targets you are running.

Can someone explain to me why having infinite mana from food chain wins you the game? Is it an instant win (1 turn) or does it just allow you to play any creature card that you draw in the following turns?

Infinite mana= infinite etb from casting your commander. Every opponent gets infinite rad counters and mills their entire deck taking 1 damage for each nonland, losing after their draw step

I think I cover it later but grabbing consult or tainted pact means it basically becomes a combo over 2 turns or 1 with enough mana

Just a suggestion, but Nullstone Gargoyle is a brutal reanimation target. It can completely take over the game in certain matchups.

@@ComedIanMTGI would, if only to protect against Force of Will, Ad Nauseam, or Demonic Consultation. That said, I am playing more artifact creatures to take advantage of Unwinding Clock, which is a pretty nuts with The Master.

Sorry really late to this comment, why not just play jin-gitaxias, progress tyrant, doesn’t counter your stuff, and still provides much for your artifacts/ instant/ sorcery.

@@zackaryshebetka2611 Perfectly reasonable replacement. For my deck, there’s a heavy emphasis on recurring artifacts and artifact creatures, so Nullstone works a bit better.

About Round 1, maybe no one realised, but they could make infinite colorless mana in response to each Mesmeric Orb trigger, and find a win before the "milling" happening.

I was in round one, the liberator player, and none of us could have won with the infinite mana even if we really had it. I didn't have an outlet, and both kinan players were off kinan because of my spyglass.

I'm the Clue Farm player... I was on tilt after opposition agent because they had a boseiju land for the breach and 2 mana open so I get Minamo... I'm on the spectrum so I took variance harder than I should have... Hence the later sloppy play

If you're already going for broodlord/saw in half why not just go for sacrafice/peer into the abyss? Instead of needing extra Mana and going for Scourge/food chain

Yes, the format of the tournaments makes it so that it is correct to do so. My complaint has NEVER been lobbied at the players who do I.d. My complaint is that many TO's will hold 5 round events with a Top 16 cut which heavily incentivizes players to ID for up to half the day.

He was taking issue because it wasn't what he expected from the finals and was therefore disappointed. As for the second thing you said, politics are a healthy part of the cedh and wider commander community. Frankly, I am very interested in why you dislike them since I don't think I have ever heard anyone with that complaint.

How do you feel about a version of this deck with talismans and mox opal with conqueror's flail as protection that you can get with transmute artifact ? You could transmute into the one ring for cards or mindcrank if bloodchief is on board.

I definitely think in general there is a heavier on artifacts version, just has different goals than my version had
