It’s not. The network is gaming the system because they didn’t want to go up against Succession. Comedic actors have no chance in their own category if a serious dramatic actor is what they’re up against.

I was a restaurant owner and a chef. Closed my restaurant a couple years ago due to an injury. This show is amazing and accurate as hell. I get PTSD every time I watch it, and also want to open a sandwich shop every time too. lol We are a crazy bunch. This show is perfection.

Was blown away when I watched The Bear. Love the the recognition and praise it has received. The travesty was that creator, director, writer Christopher Storer was ill and not there 😞A clean sweep of the comedy awards - Best Comedy, Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Writing, Directing (didn't have an entry in the Best Actress category). Let’s be real, they knew why they hired him for Fak and they probably guessed if they could, they’d give someone who’s almost never going to have an opportunity to accept any kind of TV award on that scale a chance. Paid off beautifully

The best, most well written show I’ve seen since early Game of Thrones seasons. All these awards are for season 1, and season 2 is probably better btw! The episodes “Forks” and “Fishes” are 2 of the best pieces of tv I’ve ever seen!

It is even less of a comedy show in season 2. But now that Succession is gone, maybe next year The Bear will have The Balls to compete in the categories it actually belongs to instead of fleeing into comedy categories, tail between its legs, and stealing awards from shows that actually try and succeed to be... ya know... comedic. Love the show as a drama, but receiving emmy awards as a comedy feels fraudulent and unearned to me. They could have just been the 2nd best drama show on air, but now they are just a fraud.

@@imalwaysrightwith Barry you can still tell it is mainly geared to be a comedic show at its core. The Bear is a drama show with some tiny sprinkles of humour in it. Even drama category winner Succession had more actual funny scenes than the Bear. I could easily tell you five very funny Succession scenes but would have to think very hard to remember even one very funny The Bear scene. Because it is neither comedy, nor dramedy, it is a pure drama.

I'm always interested to movies or TV shows about the cooking industry. There's unfortunately not too many of them these days. Thankfully, i found The Bear and ended up being one of my favourite shows that take place in the cooking industry. This Emmy win makes me so excited for the third season aswell as probably another sweep for season 2 next September. Let's roll for that! 😎

However Derry Girls is the only show as heartwarming as the Bear is to me. Those two really tucked at my heart strings...

The Bear is a shot at the target. Since Netflix's successful Chef's Table, audiences have been asking for a series based on this culinary context. Obviously there were some films that surfed the wave, but nothing in this proportion. I believe that from what I watched in the 2 seasons, the story should have about 5 seasons, with the story well tied together without getting lost and becoming overwhelming.

Home cooking is way better than restaurant food. You can get way better quality ingredients and spend more time perfecting a recipe than any restaurant worker can. The only good thing about restaurants is convenience.
