uhhh. i think i like Terrence's take o the character than Don. I like Don, he has a commanding presence on screen but i prefer the way Terrence played the character. I think there is some credibility to what Terrence is saying because it was a risk putting RDJ based on his issues but they kept giving him chances and Terrence came of an oscar nomination. But what Terence cannot say is that RDJ didnt deliver, he totally delivered so i dont know if he can totally take credit for the movie winning, i think RDJ did a great job all by himself

I love Terrence Howard in The Best Man movies. His character of Quint is my favorite because he is the kind of friend who who these people in his circle better than they know themselves(and he plays a mean guitar). I am split on which played Rhodey. He and Don Cheadle brought Rhodey to life and made him a relevant character instead of a background character. Howard and Robert Downey, Jr. have met at a friend’s wedding and they talked for a while. They buried the hatchet and are friends again. War Machine is a fascinating hero. War Machine had a graphic novel written for him. It would be no surprise if the MCU made a trilogy of films about War Machine. It might be another hit added to the list. Just saying.

Terrence was going to get paid 8 million and Cheadle got paid 1 million where he became a government stooge. Do we really believe the director that it was about Terrence Howard’s performance? Not me. Plus Marvel tried to replace the director after the success of the first movie and did so with the 3rd, cutting him out of an Avengers directing deal.

All I have to say is if it wasn’t for Terrence Howard’s taking the pay cut to bring in Robert Downey. There would’ve never been an iron man and there’s would’ve never been a Marvel Universe. They owe him!

You got some of it right. Robert D was struggling with drugs and alcohol back then but he was never blacklisted so of speak like Charlie Sheen. Hollywood always loved and always will RDJ. Right when he was released there were multiple roles lined up for him. As got Terrace the did him shady as I stated almost a decade ago. It was mostly because of power and Royalties as it was supposed to be RDJ, GP and Terrance but the both cut him out

By the time the Avengers movie came along(2012) Terrence’s role as James Rhody was long forgotten. I hear that him and Jon the director for Iron Man didn’t get along.

They should've paid Terrence what they promised but I think by the time they got to Iron Man 2, they were afraid if Terrence was paid more than RDJ that he might get mad and walk.

Its funny how the movie execs can just say a blanket term like "difficult to work with" and ruin your career. Nobody ever questions what does that actually means. And yet the public takes the narrative that the execs put out there...just my observation.

Terrace Howard was on the way to the top at that time. Robert was trying to come back. And did. Because of Tropic Thunder. Iron Man was Robert's real second shot. He could ask for what ever amount when it came to the second one. Terrence couldn't. 🤔

As of this week, Howard finally told the real deal on why he left Marvel and how his contract was ended. Amazing how everything, “becomes full circle.”

It was about Money. Downey re-did his contract and left only 3.2M for the role. Howard was coming off a Best Picture Nom. (Hustle and Flow) and was part of the Cast of Crash (Best Picture Winner). So he wanted 5.5-7M. Cheadle came in and did it for 2M. Now he ended getting 7M for his roles in Endgame and Infinity War, so had Howard taken less he would have gotten more on the back end. Cheadle was Nominated in Hotel Rawanda (I think).....he didn't ask Marvel/Disney for more $$$$.

After seeing Joe Rogan’s Podcast with Terrence Howard, where it is quite clear Howard is “pulling a Kanye West” and falling down a “schizophrenic rabbit hole,” I’d say Marvel, and Disney later on, definitely dodged a humongous bullet.

I Would love to see T.H. play WAR MACHINE It Would be a very interesting adaptation of that hero with a spin Don could not bring. Both are great actors. But I think Howard would own that role to the point we would want more of his soulful persona in that suit!

Howard would've been dropped from the franchise after his multiple arrests for assault. His anger seems to have been part of the problem. Also, if you find some of his promo interviews for Iron Man, notice that he repeatedly says that he wanted IM2 to have a much more political tone. Favreau had no intention of these movies being political commentary.

I was so not happy to see Robert Downey jr. Leave and I think maybe there can still be spaced to both of these very good actors with the same amount of screen time so fans can enjoy there actors
