The North family has adapted so quickly and beautifully after the collapse of the nest. Both eaglets are indeed doing well and seem to be having a blast roaming everywhere from grass to sky - often together. Mom and dad are ever-vigilant, and very clearly making sure these kiddos are fed and fine.
The whole day was a genuine joy to watch, but these highlights in particular really warmed my heart. What a wonderful, inspirational family we have here!

Personally, I think they are enjoying being down in the field. They can fly to a tree limb when needed. They have adapted to their new environment.

They all seem to be in good shape after the nest collapse. They all seem to be adapting well. The parents are ever watchful of their young ones now that they are on ground level. 🥰

Thank you for sharing this beautiful video. No malicious intent intended from my comment. But I’ most certainly hope that limb falls this summer after the Eagles are out of the area. I think the worst thing they could do is build a nest back in that same spot there’s enough there to build a nest but that limb is not going to stay forever. So I hope it falls down in the off season. ❤️

I am pretty sure they (Raptor Resource Project) know this tree is no longer an option, but they do have plans for finding another appropriate site for a platform nearby. You can read more about that in their ongoing Facebook updates: facebook.com/RaptorResourceProject

All important lessons going on here - and they're tackling it all fine - but yes, it's gotta be challenging to hold onto food on a branch. So proud of them!
