Lumbar traction can be an effective intervention to relieve chronic low back pain. In this video I review the ComforTrac Lumbar Home Traction Unit. As a physical therapist I have been using traction as a treatment strategy both in the clinic at in the patient's home.
I originally purchased the ComforTrac unit in 2005 then ComforTrac was kind enough to send me their newest model for me to test, use, and review.

The device is fine but the treatment of employees who produce/assemble this is appalling with little to no job security being hired as temps who are thrown out the door for false accusations, told phones are not to be used on the job while certain ones get away with it constantly and others are fired, little to no rotation of work tasks which causes extreme boredom and issues such as carpal tunnel problems, regular favoritism of certain people - even purchasing a new bike for one and letting him come and go and not show up a couple of days a week - perceiving him as handicapped when he shows no signs of being so and works fine which just spoils such people.
