Thank you for all the information. Recently we bought ours and I still have a doubt about how to use the 2 of them at the same time with another person. My concept is to use them for outside interview videos. Should I be using them in MONO or in STERIO? Another question: I’m recording right now with the Sony ZV-E10. What I got from this video, should I put the Mic level in 4 and put the camera in the lowest setting? Any auto gain number reference? Thank you in advance and thank you for the video, it was the only video that I found that goes deep with the review. It’s a shame that has so little views and it’s the only video that explains it well. Hope it gains more views later 🎉🙏🏻

Thanks for your kind feedback 👍 1- You’ll want to set the device in STEREO so you can have more control in post by having both persons isolated. 2- you don’t want auto gain. For the proper gain settings, set the levels on the comica first , then for a sound test, ask the talent to say their REAL lines (not hello test 1..2) . If your camera has gain control knobs, set it to a lower level so you don’t introduce hiss or noise. Always keep that low like.. from 1-10, set to gain 4…5 tops.

Thank you so much for such a detailed review! One question: can I use a third party magnet to clip transmitter with it in a way FullAim X5 does? Can the clip part on transmitter attract the magnet?

Any particular reason why the original magnet is not working for you? I’d guess, since magnets are magnets…Any magnet should do if you want to use another.

@@ArtVideoProductions I think I've put my question in a confusing way. I'm looking for a wireless Lav system with transmitters able to be attached by the magnet. I know DJI MIC can, and now I know (thanks to you) FullAim X5 also does that. Now I wonder, even though COMICA doesn't icnlude magents in the package for this model, may be I can use any magnet to do the job. That's why I'm asking you if the clip part on transmitter of Comica Vimo C3 is able to attract magnets.

Plugging the receiver into computer to record. Is there any way to separate the two microphones into 2 separate audio tracks? I'm recording into Cleanfeed and then bringing it into Davinci Resolve. Is it something I could do if I brought directly into Davinci? Or maybe OBS?

Im not sure if you did that or not but…As far I as can tell, you can set the receiver to Stereo instead of mono. It should give you separate channels.

@@ArtVideoProductions Yes, this is what I thought would happen. Stereo-mode should have been recording into left and right channels, but when opening up the sound file, both microphones are still going into both left and right. How can I 'benefit' from the stereo setting? It doesn't seem to do anything. Is it a device issue? Does it "work" if you plug in to a DSLR or phone?

I purchased a comica vimo c3 and I am having trouble connecting it to my samsung galaxy s23 ultra. I have tried every adapter I could find. Any ideas???

I just realized I accidentally gave you some solutions pertaining to another device so I had to delete my previous connect here. Ok, on my iPhone for example, I have to use the APPLE original adapter for anything to work. If your Galaxy comes with it’s OEM adapter, I’d suggest you use that. But the adapters you said you’ve tried, make sure the plug that goes into your Galaxy Is a TRRS plug (3 rings) and the side that plugs into the receiver is a TRS (2 rings) otherwise it won’t work. Applies to all smartphones. They all need TRRS plugs not TRS. If that doesn’t work. You have to send them an email.

@@ArtVideoProductions yea but I'm not sure if it's just simple plug and play with a USB C to USB C cable or what. These new phones don't have a regular mic jack input

How do u connect it with ur iPhone or iPad?

iPhone, you’ll need the original Apple adapter. Make sure the cable part that comes with this unit you plug into your Apple adapter with the TRRS (three ring plug). Same goes for your iPad if it doesn’t have a headphone / mic jack. If it does, you don’t need the Apple adapter. Only with an iPhone 7 and later.

I guess its not plug and play? Connected it both in the Mics in front and back, and USB and computer (W11) doesn't recognize it being attached. So far looks like a waste of money.

I only use this for the mobile devices. Didn’t try on a computer. What I care the most about is the recorders. That alone is worth the purchase if you’re a filmmaker or do anything video related. I don’t even use the receiver. JUST the recorders alone. They work Independently.
