Zatanna is truly one of the most underrated, unused and coolest character in the world of DC... Her personality and storyline was changed many times but personally my most favourite Zatanna was the Young Justice Zatanna, it suited her the most (only season 1, sadly in season 2 and 3 she wasnt part of The Team anymore and was almost never seen in the episodes). Such a waste after season 1 for a character who really belonged there.

I grew up reading comics books with Zatanna (back when she had a blue leotard, red cape and a ponytail) and was always enamoured by her ability to speak backwards. I started practising it as a child and doing it for fun and my family used to get creeped out. The entire _Young Justice_ series I must admit is the best platform she's ever been featured in. We got to see her be a teenager under Giovanni's parenting and watch her transition into adulthood after losing him to Nabu's power. The way she uses that charm we love to comfort her friends is so endearing and fortifies my adoration for her.

@@supersaiyan123god4 I agree. John is a drunk a-hole who sold his would to the devil. And their relationship is always toxic and they end up breaking it off. While when Batman and Zatanna came to conflict in identity crisis when Zatanna wiped his mind, they were able to reconcile and become good friends again. Batman and Zatanna have been lifelong friends. Even in Batman Beyond you can see old Bruce look back at Zatanna's picture. Plus, in the detective comics series, Zatanna has always been interested in pursuing a relationship. Its Batman who's hesitant because he is scared of hurting her and bringing her into his world. Honestly, Batman could use some joy in his life and Zatanna has that kind of peppy personalty.
