I like the idea of the story, but I feel like this is just another way to make life harder for Pete….he just can’t catch a break. Honestly this guy has gone from the most inspiring hero to the dumbest/least progressive. As much as all goku does is fight, at least he gets better. Any power up Peter gets is lost, and he keeps trying but keeps coming back to the same thing or gets worse

Nick Lowe, Dan Slott, and Zeb Wells would’ve been fired for incompetence but since the comics industry is just one big circle jerk nothing will change and you’ll have these grown men who haven’t gotten over the death of Gwen Stacy continually get to write stories. It’s a joke

I find this story fun and offensive to most readers at the same time lol. They want you to root against and for him to hurt Paul and MJ. In reality, it’s just them fabricating another disgusting spiderman story lol

I'm good with this as long as he gets rid of Paul and turns back to normal. Sure he'll have a strained relationship with MJ but as long as he gets his revenge in here for it.

For one of Marvel's golden boy fan favorites in Spider Man and Peter Parker, I hate that they put him in this perpetual state of "We will NEVER let Peter be happy." I know there are some that exist, plenty even, but I cannot think of a story in which Peter isn't tormented by the power he has. Hell, comparing him to Batman, at least he has a consistent reliable outlet with the Bat Family and at the very least, Alfred. In the stories with Peter, he either has MJ who is a "maybe I love him, maybe I don't", Gwen Stacy who...let's face it, got the Kraven treatment without the alive part, or Aunt May who "doesn't know" he's SM. He has Miles, but that's it. I don't count the Avengers and Fantastic Four because they aren't really friends as much as hero allies. Again, I know instances where he is happy. Like when he and Mary got married and had a daughter. I know the stories exist, but that's far and inbetween. Edit: Typo

Some of the most famous moments of Spider-Man is when he got the Venom Symbiote. This is another moment I hope when we see Spider-Man fused with the Goblin Serum. I can’t wait to see what they’ll do with it 🫡

I feel like if Marvel is really going to use Spider-Man as a way of suffering of a hero thing.....they should make a What If Spider-Man kills the Marvel Universe and targets those outside of Marvel that decided to make his life that much painful. And it should be brutal and just.....I love Spider-Man as a hero.... but I hate what heroism have brought him....but i wont hate Spider-Man for snapping and being a murderous villain if in return hes happy for once....

I think the grossest part about this is Peter antagonizing MJ and Paul, and the writers banking on their audience hoping that Paul and mostly MJ get theirs. It's like if your favorite scene in Spider-Man 3 is the "Now dig on this" scene where Peter shows Gwen off in front of MJ post-breakup because you think MJ deserves it. There is no joke here. It's just kinda sad.

I have a theory about Paul. At the end of the kindred story we saw Dr Strange talking with Myphisto and a possible future. A futures where Myphisto almost won but May Day Parker (Spider-Girl) was the one who was about to stop him. I think Paul is actually Myphisto and is trying to keep MJ and Peter separated so May Day won’t exist to stop him. What do you think?

And that honestly main reason why Im sticking to manga collection for a long time, I can look at any volume of a story and be sure that it wasnt blatanly redconed 5 times over annually.
